*A 5 star workload is an easy workload; a 3 star is average; whereas a 1 star workload is extremely hard.
Comments:BUS 2101 - Ahh, the successor to everyone's favorite class of BUS 1101 (with the old hag) and BUS 1201 (with Big Lail). So much of this class is busy work that's unnecessary and entirely graded by TAs (who kind of like to screw you around sometimes, though you can just email him and he'll be like "oh, I'm so sorry that shouldn't have been graded like that" and then change it). There's a textbook and 2 quizzes during the semester, but it's all really easy. The course makes you attend 2 information sessions and go to the Career Fair. I found this all to be really annoying since forced participation at events kind of defeats the whole point (they do this partly so it looks like students are receptive to companies coming to campus). I feel like the course should encourage students to attend (with bonus point incentives), but not force them. If you care about your career and want to learn more about a particular company, you'll go. I will say, Professor Estepp is a really nice guy and loves to teach/help students. So like, yes, the class is annoying to go to every week and is total busy work, but some elements are helpful, especially when they teach you about JobScan and CareerShift. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2101 - guys this class is a lot of unnecessary work but you got this! easy A and a good gpa boost. they say you cant be on your phone but I played block blast every class so oh well. HAVE FUN!!!! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2101 - This class is very helpful but there is a lot of busy work. The TA's grade it and they are very strict. Sometimes I would have to go up to him to ask for him to fix my grade. There is a final but if you have a 90 or above in the class you do not need to take it. There is also a textbook but the quiz answers on Quizlet. I will say I found this class to be very annoying but using the skills I learned I ended up getting an internship for this summer as a sophomore! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2101 - The sequel to everyone's favorite business class, 1101 and 1201. Never really learned anything, but did use some of the resources that Baylor pays for you to have (Jobscan is goated). Most work is busywork, but the some of the TAs have a stick up their ass and put some of my grades in as 50%s. Emailed professor about it, and he changed it to an A without question. Dude is a cool chill guy, invites you to talk with him after class, but his office hours are basically non-existent unless you make an appointment, so keep that in mind. Exempt from final if you have an A. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2101 - 2101 is a waste of time. All I really got out of this was a new Baylor template resume. The assignments are busy work and I did them during class. The only other somewhat useful thing I got out of this class was how to start looking for internships. It's an easy A but you won't get much out of the class. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2101 - Professor Estepp is an incredible professor who genuinely wants to see his students succeed. He’s professional, hardworking, and has designed the class to help you build a path toward an internship. His lectures are engaging, and he provides tons of useful tips on landing internships, building your resume, and making yourself stand out to employers. Even though he’s busy, he always makes time for his students and is easy to get in touch with. The only downside is the grading by the TAs, who can be pretty tough. If you get a grade from a TA that doesn’t seem fair, Professor Estepp is open to discussing it, and most of the time, he’ll help resolve the issue. Overall, since he goes above and beyond to support his students, I’d definitely recommend taking his class! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2101 - This class is super easy and it will help you with starting up your career and getting out there. The work can be kinda annoying sometimes but it is not that bad. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:BUS 2101 - This is a required course for all business students and it does have quite a workload. Estepp works with Buckley (like dual-class) but I do find this class helpful in the long run with your career. Just do your work, follow the rubric, and submit assignments on-time. You'll be fine! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:BUS 2101 - Helpful class. Workload is pretty much nothing outside of a few dumb busy work assignments every week that involve career preparation. The only real assignments are showing up to 2 company info sessions and filling out a corresponding worksheet, along with attending career day and talking to 3 recruiters so you can fill out that worksheet. The lectures are well-meaning and probably helpful, but you can tune out of them and do other homework or sit on your phone. As long as you show up and make sure you have above a 90, they won’t make you take the final and the class is done by Thanksgiving break. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:BUS 2101 - Easiest class ever, but the biggest waste of time ever. - Grade In Class:A
