Comments:HIS 1300 - One of the best professors I have had at Baylor. Take her for HIS1300. She's very passionate about history and loves teaching it. I once missed a class and later went to her office hours, she sat me down and explained the whole lecture in 30 mins. Loved her class.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1300 - take her!! I took her in the fall and she is very passionate about what she teaches and really knows how to explain things very clearly. there were a few in class quizzes where doing the reading is necessary, as it asks you specific things about the chapter. she only did one pop quiz, so be prepared. I think there were 2 papers in total we had to do, and if you email them to her and ask her to review before the due date, she will give great feedback about what to add. she also gives a guide for the exams, which are really great since it tells you what she will put on the exam, including short/long essay prompts and terms that she will choose from. there was a few in-class group work which is pretty easy. I recommend to take a lot of notes since the PowerPoint's only scratch the surface of what she says, and also record them. I went to her office hours for the final exam and she helped me a lot about what to add (basically gave me the answers). on her exam review days (which are very helpful) she doesnt take attendance, but she gave extra credit once to all of us for showing up. she is great overall so I really recommend if you need this class  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:4340 - Totalitarianism in Europe: Professor Kirillova is AMAZING. She is so educated and informed. This class is easily one of the most interesting classes I have ever taken. She is from Russia and has a whole lot of insight that I do not feel like any other professor would be able to give on certain topics. I learned so much from her. We had some readings which were very light and then a Podcast assignment which I learned SO much from and was SO much fun! We also have a book review and a final. The class was honestly light work and so so interesting. It focuses on Nazi Germany, Soviet Russia, and Facist Italy. This is a very cool class and I hope she teaches it as well as others so that people can experience her class. She is so amazing and so knowledgeable. She is so kind and willling to help you with anything you need. She is a young mom and has so much energy and is clearly so invested in her students. Professor Kirillova would give feedback on literally everything even little homework assignments. She grades everything pretty much right away. If you try and show up this is an easy A even as a 4000 level class. Definitely a MUST TAKE!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1300-25 - Truly one of the best professors I have ever had. She is such a sweet lady and really cares about what she is teaching and her students. It is easy to tell she is passionate about her work. - Presentations are easy to follow and understand. - She is very prepared for every class and does well at explaining each topic. - I appreciate the identification of the IDs of what we will be tested on being acknowledged at the beginning of each powerpoint. I also appreciate Dr. Kirillova's willingness to work with her students and help out in any way she can. Posting the slides online at the beginning of class helped with anxiety about not being able to get notes down. - The test and papers are easy to understand and the perfect amount of difficult. She does well giving us enough time to prepare for the test and papers. Her study guides listed every term we may need to know and it was easy to look back at our notes or the power points to study because of how organized she is (most of the time, all I would need is a refresher on the time period of the term because I was able to remember the term very well because she originally explained it in such a good way). - She encourages discussion in her class and each lecture and discussion are very engaging. I never found myself zoning out or working on other work like I may do in other classes before this. I wish she was teaching more intro level history classes as I would be interested in taking more of her classes as electives. Overall Dr. Kirillova is an AMAZING professor and this class has been one of my all time favorite classes! I wish more professors would teach like she does! Originally we had pop quizzes over the readings but when the students weren't doing well she changed them to announced pop-quizzes so we knew which day and what reading it would be. Since Dr. Kirillova is originally from another country it was super helpful to hear some of her personal experiences and knowledge that relate to this course. Especially since this class is about the U.S. in a Global Perspective. That is an aspect of this course that we would not get if she had been from America. Her experience and knowledge is invaluable and indispensable to the course!   - Grade In Class:A
