Comments:2334 - Dr Martin consistently overcomplicates texts, seems like at times she doesn't really know what she's talking about. Very confrontational and vehemently accused students of cheating. Talks down to students and is incredibly unhelpful and vague during office hours  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2334 - Does not put grades in or respond to emails, always seems mad/ on edge for some reason. Lectures are not helpful at all (sometimes actually overcomplicates texts). Does not give feedback on anything. going on 6th week of school with no grade in the class. Can be very harsh or make weird assumptions about students cheating or writing down answers. Not a comfortable professor to be around.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2301 - Dr. Martin's administrative style fell well below expectations for this course. She did not enter a single grade into Canvas until after the final exam. She gives in-class quizzes, but does not return them. She gave minimal to no feedback on the two midterms and two essays, so I had no idea what I was doing well and what I needed to work on. I tried to attend Dr. Martin's listed office hours on multiple occasions, but she was never in her office during those times. I also tried to email her, but she either took multiple business days to reply or never replied. The lack of feedback was not worth the light workload. Unfortunately, I did not gain anything meaningful from Dr. Martin's class.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:1300 - This course was so hard for no reason. It was supposed to be a research writing, great texts, and a first year seminar class and it was by far my hardest class. We had a few big essays and I would go to office hours, talk though my rough draft with her, work on it even more and still get low C's. I hated the reading, her lectures never had to do with it, and the assignments had even less to do with it. Overall, i really did not enjoy this class or the grade I got in it. She is a really nice persona dn I still like to see her around campus, but I would not take her again.  - Grade In Class:C+

Comments:2302 - Dr. Martin is the best! She is such a good teacher who actually looks for ways to give you a good grade. She is open to helping you with whatever you need and will potentially push deadlines back if you ask. For a great text class, the workload is super light for a GTX course. 10/10 would recomend.  - Grade In Class:A
