Comments:4365 - He explains concepts with a lot of in-class examples, which makes the material easier to understand, but he does move quickly because he dives deep into each topic. There’s optional homework and a group project. If you stay engaged in class and actually do the homework, this ends up being a very manageable and straightforward finance course.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:4365 - This guy is the goat. Take him. The course is stuff, but he does practice problems, and the exams are easy and he curves hard. Take him, he's a super cute Vietnamese guy who is just happy to be alive and teaching.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:4365 - This course is quant heavy but Professor Lee taught this course in a practical way. He showed us many Excel applications (better know the basics of Excel before this course) and asked us to use quant tools to analyze our group stock portfolio. The key to doing well in this course is simple - go to classes, do homework, and practice Excel exercises. Exams were not easy, but they were straightforward if you studied slides and reviewed your homework assignments. You will definitely get your reward for your effort and hard work. Professor Lee is nice and intellectual. He is not the kind of teacher who is fun and entertaining, but Professor Lee has his subtle humor and treats students with kindness and respect.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:4365 - Professor Lee genuinely wants his students to succeed, and it's apparent. This is the most straightforward, no-gimmicks course I've ever taken. There are four homework assignments, 10 questions each with 3 tries, so you should be a 100% on those and they're 20% of your grade (they also take an hour or two max). The tests are extremely fair representations of class. If you pay attention, study the notes and powerpoints, and study the two homework assignments aligned to each exam, it's likely you'll make between an 80 and a 100 with 5-10 good hours of studying. The stock case/ portfolio project is really fun and I learned more from it than any other school project at Baylor. A word of advice though: CHOOSE A GOOD TEAM. This project is not difficult, but if your group is not strong the project becomes difficult. Overall, he's a great professor, it's an interesting class, and I would highly recommend Ryan.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:FIN4365 - Dr Lee cares about students. He listens to use and is flexible to respond to our feedback and needs. He is kind and helpful. Before an exam, I was stuck by a key concept and emailed him a question over the weekend. He answered and explained just within few hours. I felt bad but thankful for this. The stock group project was a useful application. Dr Lee demonstrated a variety of Excel exercises in classes, and we applied those quantitative techniques to our practical stock portfolio. Although sometimes his lectures were dry and difficult, he broke down finance theories and nuances in a way that is cool and straightward to understand.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:4365 - Easily one of my favorite teachers so far. Felt really nervous going into my first exam but all three of his exams are really straightforward. The workload in the class is perfect. Professor Lee is overall just such a nice guy that really wants the best for his students. I also feel like I took away so much from this class and learned a lot. take him  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:4365 - Dr. Lee is one of my favorite professors I’ve had in the past 3 years of teaching, he is truly here to help us learn and takes great joy in engaging with his students. His lectures are enthusiastic, he assigns a very fair amount of homework nothing to heavy. His exams (2 midterms 1 final) are straightforward he isn’t trying to trick you, if you’re able to do the homework and understand how to use the formulas and the topics of the class you will do great. I don’t see why anyone wouldn’t succeed in his course. I would recommend him to anyone who asked who to take for investment analysis. You also have a semester long stock project that is very interesting and doesn’t take up too much time outside of class. If you’re looking for an enthusiastic professor and an informative class don’t hesitate to take Dr. Lee  - Grade In Class:A
