Comments:1420 - Definitely better than some of the other physics professors that I heard about that my friends were taking. Not a single grade in Canvas during the whole semester though. If you're the person that wants to know your grade throughout the semester, you need to use excel or google sheets to keep track. The homeworks weren't bad just a lot of questions online. Each quiz is directly from a hw problem just numbers changed slightly. Tests are at most 6-7 questions and sometimes you can choose to not do one. Gave partial credit too. Labs are easy if you follow directions and be diligent in the procedures. If you finish lab early, then you can leave. The lab grade is a multiplier to your other grade so as long as you're above an 80 in lab, it'll be around 1x multiplied. One lab grade is dropped but since he doesn't show grades on Canvas, I don't know if he did it. He does like 8 am classes though, but I'd take that over other profs.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:PHY 1420 - Tucker was new this semester which was noticeable by the way he grades and teaches. It seemed like he could have better prepared us for the exams as some of the content was not well covered or mentioned in class. He did not provide any review guides for the exam which left us in the dark as far as what to study. I relied on my cheat sheet for equations and kind of winged the exams. He gives quizzes almost every week which are basically easy grade boosters if you do the homework (he pulls a question exactly from it). Overall, he was very friendly and helpful and seemed willing to adapt his teaching style. Everyone says to take Cleaver as he is known as the easy A physics class. If you are just looking for that GPA boost, definitely try to get Cleaver. If you would actually like to learn content, I think Tucker wasn’t bad and will likely improve teaching style as he gains experience. PS he travels frequently so that’s a plus if you like missing class.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:1420 - Professor Tucker is a great professor and very generous. I took AP Physics so I did already know most of the first half of the class, but still Tucker taught everything well and clearly. He expects you to have read the textbook before class so that he can focus on example problems in class, but most of us never have and are fine. His lectures might seem to go by fast because he expects us to have already taken notes from the book, but he posts everything to canvas, so you don't need to stress about that. I reference the book when I am doing the homework at times, but not too often. We have quizzes about every week or so and it's one random problem from the homework that is due later in the week and you can use your homework notes, so if you do the homework before, its an easy 100. The homework is long at times, but a majority of the problems you can find help or even the answers if you look up the problem. Even though the homework can be long, all the physics sections have a ton of homework and I believe that Tucker's homework problems are a lot easier than the rest. You have 3 exams and he drops 1 which is nice. His exams are a bit odd tho, but if you pay attention in class to the examples and maybe check out a few that are in the book, you will do fine. He has a grader grade the exams for him and because of this, he looked over the exams and bumped everyone in my section by 10% on the first 2 exams after them being in a bit which is a huge plus. He travels every once and a while for travel and cancels class when he can't make it which can be annoying since there is a lot of content, but it is very nice to have around 4-5 classes canceled throughout the semester. I took the Tuesday/Thursday section and he ends class early pretty often which is chill. He considers your lab grade on a multiplier scale, so if you end with a 90% in lab, your grade stays the same and if you do better in lab, your grade will go up based on the multiplier equation. If you are new to physics or not, take Tucker!!!!! He is great, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!  - Grade In Class:A
