Her lectures were a bit fast, and as long as I asked for clarifications for things, she was very helpful. Office hours were key to my success in the class.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:ACC 2304 - She is honestly not as bad as all of the comments are saying, but she could be better. She is very nice, and willing to help. However, her exams take way too long to finish and there was always a time issue when it came to trying to finish. She goes pretty fast during the lectures. She is very energetic. However, I can't say I learned much from the lectures. I learned probably 90% on my own using chat gpt, so take what I say lightly.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:2304 - PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR IF YOU VALUE YOUR GPA!!!! I studied incredibly hard for this class and spend hours in moody. I got an A in financial accounting so I thought I would be fine in this class but I was wrong. She is extremely unhelpful when it comes to questions and I basically had to teach the content to myself. She essentially has the attitude where you know everything and the class serves as a "review". On top of everything, the exam was not even comparable to the homework or the reviews because it was way harder than what she prepared the class for. It is almost like she is trying to fail you.  - Grade In Class:C

Comments:2304 - I swear this woman is on 50mg of Adderall because she goes so fast in class I fear it's like listening to James Charles on 3x speed. She is a very sweet lady but her class average for the first exam was a 48%. More than half the class is failing and she does not do anything about it. Her review guides are so useless and if you get 4 questions wrong on the exam you're already at a C. I taught my friend the content for the last exam and he has a different professor and he did 13% higher than me. Her tests are way harder than any other professor and she skips key concepts and problems that are on the exam.  - Grade In Class:C

Comments:2304 - Makes the class way harder than it has to be. The practice exams don't help at all and theres zero explanation for correct answers. She flies through the note packets during lectures as if we already know everything and it becomes too hard to try and keep up with. Comments:2304 - Just take a different Prof. Her class is doable but its a burden. She is a very new teacher and definitely doesn't have it figured out yet. She teaches by just going through a note packet and doesn't always do the best at actually explaining what shes doing. This makes her lectures very hard to stay engaged with, and she is always very sarcastically happy, so that definitely gets annoying at 9am every day. He tests are also way different than the homework or the reviews so its basically a trap and your set up to fail. Its challenging to learn from her and even harder to study for her. I would avoid her if you can.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:Accounting - Lots of work in little time. Very demanding class. Very knowledgeable teacher but not good at helping others understand. I always felt lost and whenever I tried to get help I only felt more lost. Class constantly had me stressing with near impossible to meet deadlines, combine that with the lack of teaching made this class feel like a burden.  - Grade In Class:D

Comments:2304 - DO NOT TAKE!!!!!! you have no time to finish any exam and she is not helpful at all when it comes to it. When I went in to tell her that the whole class- including myself- couldn't finish the 2 exams, she blamed it on us and told us to do better. The exams are 25 questions IN 50 MINUTES! You can't do an accounting exam in that time. When you go into office hours and ask for help, she looks at you and says "well what do YOU think you have to do" then she goes and does her own thing. The homework also isn't helpful AT ALL to the exams and is based on questions you haven't done in class or at all. So good luck trying to figure them out without Chat GPT. She speeds through the notes and doesn't even let us attempt any on our own. She just does them and expects us to know how to do it. Then there's the exam practice sheet. Has absolutely NOTHING to do with the exams. Based on problems we have NEVER seen before. Makes me question whether or not she should've become a professor at Baylor directly after graduating from UT Austin. She clearly still has beef. Please either take managerial accounting over the summer with another professor, or at MCC because you're going to hate yourself the whole semester in this class. More than half the class is failing and she blamed us. The class averages for every exam were failing, and she said thats the lowest in managerial history. Choose wisely if you want to go through this. She is a nice lady, but the class needs serious help. I'm going into this final and Exam 4 PRAYING i end up passing the class. I literally have a tutor and go to office hours on a daily. I don't know what more to do here.  - Grade In Class:C

Comments:2304 - DON'T TAKE HER. This was one of the most frustrating classes I’ve taken at Baylor. The professor is new to the university and unfortunately doesn’t meet the standard expected here. And she has a huge ego. Her lectures are rushed, dry, and hard to follow—she reads straight off a note sheet while students are expected to fill in sections beforehand, with little actual teaching happening during class. The homework is fine in quantity, but it’s completely disconnected from the exams. The professor openly admits to making the tests intentionally tricky, and the material she gives to study doesn’t match what actually shows up on the test. There’s no clear way to prepare, and even doing the homework and review doesn’t help. It ends up feeling like a trap rather than a test of what we’ve learned. It’s also clear that she doesn’t have much respect for Baylor or its students. She shows little effort to adapt or improve the learning experience and seems more interested in proving how hard she can make things rather than actually helping students understand the material.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2304 - DO NOT choose to take her, she was my only option, so I was forced to take her. Professor Stanfield consistently keeps her class 2-5 minutes after class. She does this by starting a practice problem that she knows will take 10 minutes, with 2 minutes of class remaining. She released us early just one time. Staying late was normal for her. Her exams had only 22-25 multiple-choice questions. Her first two exams were 25 questions, but many people, including myself, struggled to finish both of those exams on time. However, she did learn from student feedback and shortened the exam to 22 questions. While yes, this fixed the time problem, it created a new one. Having so few questions on the exam means the weight of each problem significantly impacts your grade. If you get just 2 wrong, you're already at a borderline A-. To get an A on this exam, you can only miss 1 question. Her questions weren't softball either, they were a good mix of conceptual and calculation questions. I studied for many hours for her exams, I felt confident, just to get a B- average because I missed 4 questions. I got an A in Financial Accounting, so accounting isn't a hard topic for me to understand. Her 4 exams make up 64% of our grades, with an additional 20% being from the final. Meaning 84% of our overall grade is from 5 exams. Her exams are a very inaccurate way for students to show their knowledge. From fighting against time on the first two exams to fighting with the question weight on the third exam, I have no idea what to expect for our fourth exam and final. With her exams weighing so much and her lectures being less helpful than Chat GPT, Professor Stanfield is far below Baylor's standards.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:3301 - Professor Stanfield might get a bad rep, but she is not a bad professor. She has a big heart and cares for her students and that shows through her dedication for the class and also her students. People might give her a low rating, but when you consider that this is her first semester teaching at any level, and that in her first time teaching she is teaching Intermediate (the hardest Accounting class), you would have more grace for her. She is always available for her students and willing to help answer any and all questions. All in all, she wants each student to succeed and that shows through her teaching and care for each student.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:ACC 3301 - Prof. Stanfield was very knowledgeable about accounting, but she had a very negative attitude about her class. Her constant sarcastic comments about how "fun" this unit would be got annoying. As an accounting major I legitimately enjoyed what I was learning, but her attitude was patronizing. She also goes quite fast and has a suck-it-up type of attitude. That being said, she always answered all the questions asked, and she I never struggled to get additional help in her class. If you take her, be prepared to need to go to SI sessions, and try and be nice to her as she is a good professor, just sometimes has an attitude.  - Grade In Class:B
