*A 5 star workload is an easy workload; a 3 star is average; whereas a 1 star workload is extremely hard.
Comments:3311 - Dr. Phillips as a professor is great, she clearly knows what shes talking about and is very helpful when you have questions. Though, I took this course as an elective and if you’re thinking about it.. don’t. the workload is CRAZY and SO MUCH that it will disturb you from your required courses. there were no exams but the McGraws would take over 2 hours to complete and there 2 assigned weekly that if not completed result in an overall fail of the coure. the whole semester you work on a 10-annotations bibliography that she grades very harshly. her classes also get very repetitive and boring, especially if your class is not engaging or don’t have any friends in the class since there is so much group discussion. again, as a person shes wonderful it might just be the subject thats very annoying. - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:3311 - Loved this class! She is great. No exams in the class, one final annotation paper that takes place of the final. I def recommend her for this course. She is also very willing to help and gives extra credit opportunities. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:3311 - I wish I could have seen what Dr. Phillips is like in an in-person class, but I would not recommend her for online classes. She is very responsive to email and is a nice person, but online classes are weird. While her assignments can be applicable and fun, many of them are busywork. She grades very strictly without clear expectations going in. She also does not round grades at all, so stay on top of your work to make sure you at least tried to meet all specifications. Make sure you email her if you have any questions or want more feedback after assignments, as that seems to factor into your professionalism grade at the end of the semester (which wound up being the final grade that dropped my A to an A-). Try to take her in-person if you can. - Grade In Class:A
