Comments:3325 - this class is nonsensical when it comes to exams. everything is based on mcgraw hill's 200+ textbook blank questions, many not being covered in class or even in the textbook chapters given in study guides. half of the exam is straight up the practice problems, the other half is subjective and randomly generated. do not take this class with this professor, she doesn't answer emails and does not care about your grade- in a bad way.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:3325 - I dont know where to start. The averages on her exams are 70 or lower, so half her class fails every time. She says that she cares about learning more than the grade we get so she won't curve or change the exam whatsoever. She uses the textbook to teach, do homework, and give the exam, so she does not do any of the work. She has no idea how to teach. When doing practice problems in class, she takes 3-4 tries to get the right answer and has no understanding of the material that we are supposed to memorize. DO NOT TAKE HER. Worst professor I have ever taken, zero accountability for being this bad, and does not take any responsibility for her poor teaching skills.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:3325 - PLEASE READ - Holy, what a class this was. Let me preface by saying this - she cannot teach. Don't get me wrong, she is a very sweet lady, but her teaching ability is not great at all. Her lectures are what you see in the movies, straight up blah blah blah no visuals just millions of definitions and each definition has 10 parts to it. Zero people paid attention in class. Lets get into the course itself. This semester was her first semester at Baylor, so hopefully she improves. There are 3 exams with an optional final, with the exams being lockdown with camera in class, each is like 25 problems (22 MCQ, 3 frq / solving). It is on McGraw hill, iykyk. She does allow a notebook paper cheat sheet front and back, and I spent 2+ hours writing everything from the slides and still got 65s on all three exams. The FRQs are insanely tedious as they involve so much solving and she barely covers them in class. If you study them, you will get it right, it just takes forever and you have to do it on McGraw Hill - her slides are not helpful at all. Regarding homework, there are 2-3 mcgraw hill assignments per week with 20-40 concepts (yes, that means at least an hour each). She also does some groupwork which is actually fun, but some of them are a lot of work and you have to do it outside of class and take photos with your group as evidence. Some people hated this but I actually enjoyed it as I learned some stuff for once. Now the MAIN reason why everyone got As.. this is a points based class, and since everyone averaged a D on the exams, she offered SO MUCH extra credit, to the point where 50% of the class already had an A after the second exam lmao. However if you do the HW and group work, you can easily fail the exams and still get a good grade and not take the final. However, she admitted the messed up the grading scale a ton this semester, so I am not sure how she's going to teach this in future semesters. Stay away, but if you can't, it's not the end of the world ig..  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:MGT 3325 - Sophie Yang-Sun does not teach well at all. For the first two exams, the class averaged a 60, and she thought it was good. After the first exam, we spent about 30 minutes talking about the score because none of us were satisfied. She provides a letter-sized, front and back cheat sheet for exams, however, it didn't seem to help anybody make a higher grade. There's a discussion board every week that you have to do with a group, some of them being tedious. During the days where we don't have lectures, there's games being played but she spends about 45 minutes explaining it just for us to play for 5 minutes. She frequently cancels office hours and I've gotten no luck with her responding to my emails. Everything in this class is from McGraw Hill, even the exams. There's a smartbook assignment AND ending chapter homework due for every chapter as well. She is never prepared and is always like "Let me see what I should do now." Most of the times, she is paraphrasing what is said on the slides, so you're not learning anything. She does give a bunch of extra credit, however, she does it so our grades boost up.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:MGT 3325 - I loved the hands-on in-class activities, and Prof. Yang was super nice and caring. She did an incredible job teaching the subject matter. The work is very manageable with a couple of short assignments each week that are easy to complete. She really cares about her students and was always available and provided extra credit throughout the semester, which is super helpful. While she is new, you should take her.  - Grade In Class:A
