*A 5 star workload is an easy workload; a 3 star is average; whereas a 1 star workload is extremely hard.
Comments:1305 - She is very friendly and approachable. Her lectures are great for baseline/background knowledge. She posts notes and lecture videos if you missed or need to rewatch a practice problem. You will definitely have to read the book, which she does assign readings and expects. The readings help with the homework. The homework is a tad more difficult than in class examples or what will be on exams. The homework is online and you are given a week to complete it. Good practice and VERY light workload. Each set took a max of 30 min-1 hr. She has quizzes based on some readings or a podcast but most of the time she canceled the quizzes if she realizes no one did the podcast or reading. I am not a money or math person and this was the first business related class I had to take. I highly recommend as it was a nice introduction. Definitely not like a scary economics class that people are always complaining about. I made As on all the exams except the final, but my brain was fried at that point. The final she does let you bring an index card (mine was honestly huge) with whatever you want on it. The final is very similar to other exams and I think she even reuses old questions. She gives practice exams that are 90% the same as the real thing. She will change numbers up and stuff like that, but that's expected. My study method was wait until night before and do practice exam, make corrections and study what I missed, memorize key terms and equations, and go through the book for important graphs to memorize or understand. Exams were all multiple choice on canvas. If you wanted you could go over what you missed on an exam in her office afterwards. Exams would generally be graded same day. Grading looked little wonky just because she would enter your grade as like an assignment on canvas and only update it after each exam rather than after every assignment, but it's more of a cosmetic issue, no biggie. Loved this class as the material was interesting and the professor was enthusiastic. Sometimes she'd have in-class activities and give us candy too. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1305 - Save yourself, and please don't take her. It was a nightmare. She isn't good at teaching, and her reviews are pointless because they never helped me with the exams. Plus, when we reviewed exams, she would give different answers than the ones that were correct on the exam. It was pretty much you on your own. Lectures weren't helpful, and when you asked a question, she would answer and then actually decide that she answered it wrong. Don't take this class if you want a good semester. - Grade In Class:C+
