Comments:ANT 1306 - Dr. Shaver is an awesome teacher, his lectures are very simple and easy to follow. There are weekly quizzes that are pretty easy as long as you do the readings before class. The readings themselves are actually pretty interesting if you get into them. The only extra assignment is an essay you have to write but you're given plenty of time for it. I would highly recommend Shaver, he's very kind and has a very relaxed and calming teaching style.  - Grade In Class:A

He is really knowledgeable about the topic as he has had years of field experience as an anthropologist, and his stories from his time working in Fiji are really cool! The class overall is super interesting and easy. As long as you keep up with the readings and go to class it is an easy A! The main assignments are quizzes every Friday from the readings, one paper, a midterm, and a final. The only real homework are the readings each week which really aren't bad. If you can take him for any anthropology class, definitely do it!!  - Grade In Class:A
