Comments:1302 - Overall she is great! She does expect effort and will make sure you are putting in some. Overall she is very nice and understanding - she gets that life happens and wants to help you in her class where she can. Overall she is great and would recommend for lab and class - lab especially. No homework but you do 2 in class presentations. They are not bad, very easy. Just try your best and you will be A-ok in her classes - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1302 - I have only had Mme Cornish for lab, so if you are taking someone else for lecture but have her lab section this may be more applicable to you. At the beginning of the semester, I found the lab helpful to my understanding of the material we learn from lecture. As the semester progressed, I felt that what I would do in Mme Cornish's lab and my French lecture were very different. It was not helpful when my lecture class would have an exam one week, and the lab only covered content from the previous exam I took, and maybe some new content if I was lucky. I do love Mme Cornish. She is very kind and encouraging, and is a fair grader. In my previous experience of taking french at Baylor, having the same professor for both lecture and lab is very helpful, since they're more likely to stick to their individual lecture pace. While Mme Cornish is an excellent lecture professor, I hope that the french department is able to coordinate lecture and lab lessons better for future students. - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:1301 - She is the best ever. You do have to try and actually study in this class, but if you apply yourself you will do well. She is also super helpful and is truly passionate about teaching and about french. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1302 - I could say a million good things about Madame Cornish! She is so kind and so encouraging to her students. Workload isn't terrible, with the homeworks every class designed to set you up for success. Exams are very doable and she lets you see what you got wrong. I love this woman! Take her! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1301 Lab - Lab is pretty easy, once a week you show up and she gives a presentation. You have to participate and that includes answering questions, reading from the book/slide show, etc. Participation matters the most in her lab. You do a assignment each class period that also is a grade but those are pretty light. You do a interview as a midterm kinda- its pretty easy just talk with a partner infront of her for like 5-6 minutes, and then the final presentation which isn't too hard either pretty easy. She is a easy grader, and just wants you to do well. No homework btw for lab - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1301 - 1301: Smart notebook and assignment due before each class period- overall easy. Tests are a total of 10% of your grade so its not terrible. She gives out study guides before test which are kinda like the test but she gives points for everything, so just have a idea of what your doing. Your participation in each class period is worth more than any other assignment and test. You have daily quizzes which are not hard. Overall shes the best one you could have - Grade In Class:A
Comments:FRE 1302 - I believe her last name used to be owen but she is married now. Mme Cornish is probably the kindest and most understanding French professor you could take. She will meet you where you are and does not have a judgmental bone in her body. She responds to emails quickly, and is extremely fair with grading and the tests are easy (she will give you the most points she can). Even if you know 0 French or how to pronounce anything she will help you during class. Highly recommend taking her! - Grade In Class:A
