Comments:PSC 1387 - Very easy class. Just show up, pay 50% attention, and ask questions you'll be aight. Prof. Mcnulty is a nice guy and pretty approachable so don't be scared to ask questions or whatever. Best of luck. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:PSC 1387 - His class was not bad of a course load at all. Its 2 exams, a couple short assignments, and participation. He realized that participation was not working well so he allowed us to do discussion boards instead. Our first assignment was an essay but then our second was a mix of a simple question and a couple paragraph responses. Tests weren't bad, a little more difficult than expected, but everything else was weighted heavily. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:PSC 1387 - Professor McNulty is one of the nicest professors at Baylor. He does truly care about his students and is very flexible to make it as easy as possible on his students. I think the other ratings are not a fair assessment. He is a very good professor and is very knowledgeable, slides are easy to follow along. He lets students take the midterm and final basically whenever and they are both online. He is a new professor so he is still trying to figure out his course structure but he always asks his students what they would prefer. He does whatever he can to make sure he holds office hours and if he can't be on campus one day he will hold a zoom call. Your attendance is based on your participation (which you only need to do 3 times a semester) and that could just be attending his office hours. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1387 - If you are a non political science major, take this guy if you need an easy A. If you are genuinely interested in understanding the content and having an engaging lecture, I suggest finding another professor. Because prof McNulty is new to Baylor, he was still figuring out the structure of his class. As for grading, He is lenient but his TA was not as much. It was a gamble when it came to receiving grades. His original syllabus consisted of two written assignments, the midterm and final. Towards the end of the semester, after we had already submitted the first written assignment, he changed the final assignment to three short answer assignments (which were not short at all) because he believed it would be easier. Scrambling to write two pages per assignment while finals were creeping up on us was really stressful. Either than that, he was a nice guy, but not my favorite teacher. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1387 - TAKE MCNULTY if you just need to get this class out of the way. Your grade is 40% 2 exams, 30% assignments (just a few essays and questions to answer, super light), and 30% participation, which is a free 100% as long as you show and sign your name on the attendance sheet. He's a below average lecturer, not very engaging, dense content but somehow speaks too slow for me to digest anything, but at least the lecture slides are okay. He'll make you do these discussions/activities with the people around you, which doesn't help you learn but is just awkward. However, his exams are completely online with a long window of time to take them, the essays are easy and you can choose from a list of questions, and again the participation is a free 100. - Grade In Class:A
