*A 5 star workload is an easy workload; a 3 star is average; whereas a 1 star workload is extremely hard.
Comments:EGR 2170 - I was definitely disappointed with this class, as I had heard in the past it was very easy and not time-consuming. However, it was in fact very time-consuming and complicated. My main gripe is that the directions for the SOLIDWORKS assignments get progressively less detailed, meaning one mistake on your part can lead to at least an extra 30 minutes of trying to figure out what you did wrong or how to fully define a certain section (use the "Fully Define Sketch" option, it'll save you so much time!). Starting with Riley this past semester, there are now two projects during the semester (both taking many hours to complete) with a PowerPoint attached to it, and his grading is pretty strict for no reason. I really enjoy using SOLIDWORKS, but the amount of work for a class that is only one credit hour and has no designated class time is just too much. Riley himself is very chill in person, and I never had an issue with him personally, but I think he can lighten up his course's workload/grading and be more clear about what he expects from students. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2170 - An online, 1-credit class should not be this stressful. All deadlines are set at 5 PM, and the professor refuses to make any accommodations or extensions, even for reasonable requests. The class mainly consists of watching videos and using SolidWorks, yet communication and feedback are limited. It feels like the workload and strict deadlines are unnecessary for such a small course, and the lack of flexibility makes it difficult to manage among other classes. - Grade In Class:DROP
