Comments:ENG 2310 - I took Dr. Fulton's ENG 2310 course online over the summer to complete the remainder of my common core class credits. I thought his class was very insightful, with an easy workload for a summer course. His class consists of weekly readings, along with a few discussion boards that are due every Sunday, giving students plenty of time throughout the week. A few written quizzes, an essay, a reading notebook you must complete over the course of the semester, and two take-home tests to do online. His recorded lectures are very helpful and give students a better understanding of the weekly readings. When turning in an assignment such as a quiz or test, Dr Fultun does a great job giving students feedback on what they could do to get a higher grade next time. As for the textbooks/readings required for this course, Dr. Fulton takes into account students' spending, so he always provides affordable textbooks/readings to use for the course. All in all, I would highly recommend this professor if you're looking for an online summer course. Very helpful and kind, moderate to easy workload.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:4380 - If you have the chance to take Dr. Fulton, DO IT. This man is one of my favorite profs I have had at Baylor. He is so funny and approachable and truly cares about his students. On top of that it was the easiest 4000 level class I have ever had. We had daily readings and a socratic discussion but you don't really have to read to be able to participate. The syllabus had quizzes as a chunk of our grade and we took not a single quiz. Just participate. Hold good discussions and I guarantee you he won't make you take a quiz. We had a take home midterm and final but those are super easy. He gives you like a week to do them and they are open note and I literally got a 100 on both. The hardest thing about the class was the 20 page paper (including the annotated bib) but honestly with the 100 on the midterm, I was never too worried. He is a pretty easy grader. If you need an easy A, take him. But also take Fulton because overall he is just a really cool professor. Shares so many random stories from his life that will make you just sit there and want to hear more. Great professor. I'm taking him again  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:ENG 2310 - I took him over the summer. He was a godsend. I think I really enjoyed his approach to this class. Given that it is a gen ed requirement, he made it feel less like one! I would definitely recommend him. He has a very interesting lecturing style and he seems like a cool person to have around. He is a lenient grader. The assignments in this class were super insightful!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:ENG 2310 - Took him for summer minimester. So glad I did. He's super passionate about English (I'm not at all, but it was nice that he was to at least bring some energy to the videos). He also checks in like every day and is very encouraging. Course structure is probably different from fall/spring because it's shorter and online, but it was multiple readings every day (you honestly don't have to read them if you're pressed for time, you can just take notes on his lectures. But some are interesting) from the reader textbook or Tom Sawyer. 3-5 lecture videos a day (they're long sometimes, but you should try to take notes because they're helpful for the exams). You write a 200-word reading notebook entry and a 100-word discussion post every day (both can be about anything but he gives questions if you want). Midterm and final are open-note take-home (short answer and paragraph questions) - if you watch the lectures you'll do fine on them. Term paper (1500 words about something related to the course - he gives a whole list of prompts). 2 "quizzes" that are like 1-page responses. You have to put in effort for this class (definitely some work, but probably less than other professors). But he gives A's on everything as long as you seem like you tried. Take him.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:ENG 4383 - I am personally not a huge fan of American literature, and while this class did not change my mind about that, it was pretty easy to get through. The grade was made up of two take home tests, one research paper, and in-class participation. Both tests were open note/book and were very easy if you attended class. They were a little long, but you have at least a week to complete each of them. The research paper was 15-20 pages, but it included an annotated bibliography that helped with the length. He is also a very easy grader. You can tell Dr. Fulton really loves this kind of literature, and he tends to tell long stories or talk extensively about a particular scene. Because of this, his classes are only partially discussion-based, and it is pretty easy to get away with not reading or using Spark Notes. Overall, I would definitely recommed Dr. Fulton, especially if you're looking for a laid back English class!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:ENG 2310 - Dr. Fulton is really a nice guy and clearly is very passionate about what he teaches. The workload in this class is also pretty fair (not minimal, but also not a whole lot) and it is pretty easy to make a good grade. There's a weekly discussion post (300 words), weekly reading notebook entry (300 words), a paper (3000 words), and a midterm and final exam that are both take home and open note/open video lecture. Fulton is a pretty easy grader and gives good feedback. That being said, the assigned reading and curriculum was SO SO dry. I'm not sure if all the other 2310 classes read the same things as Fulton's class (we read Tom Sawyer and lots of short stories/poems from American Literary Cultures reader/anthology), but I personally found most of the reading we did to be so uninteresting and boring and this is coming from someone who generally enjoys literature/reading.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:ENG 2310 - This man is the sweetest and most genuine professor I have had at Baylor. He is so passionate about his work and teaching us. Workload consists of 1 3000 word essay, midterm, and final that we got to take home and complete. As well as a reading jouranl for every class that has to be 200 words, turned in at the end of the semester. It really is not much and he makes it seem fun and easy. Definitely a good break from other ENG professors and really is an amazing proffesor TAKE HIM  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2310 - Professor Fulton is amazing!! He is genuinely one of the most caring professors and wants to see his students succeed. He is extremely passionate about what he is teaching and it is evident every lecture. There are short readings for each class along with a reading notebook entry, but it is completely manageable. He also lectures directly off of the assigned reading for that class. The grades for this class include a midterm, a final, the reading notebook, and a 3000 word essay. For the essay, he provides a lot of different prompts to pick from and there is plenty of time to complete it. Overall, Professor Fulton made this required class pretty enjoyable and I would definitely recommend him!!!!!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2310 - Pretty cool prof! Im not a big fan of literature, but some of the readings were decent. Workload is generally okay; the readings aren't too dense if you split them up evenly throughout the week. Theres a discussion question every week and you have to write one journal entry a week over that week's reading which is pretty simple and straightforward. Theres a 3000 word essay due towards the end of the semester, but there are several prompts to choose from, and if you start early then there shouldn't be a problem. As long as you do the work and put some effort, you will get 100s on everything because Fulton is a very easy grader who gives great feedback without deducting anything from your grade, which I love! The midterm and final is very dense and has tons of material on it, but he gives it to you about 9 days prior to the due date, so if you split it evenly you should be done without it being too much to handle. Overall, average workload, easy grader, and very kind and passionate prof! Safe pick for American Lit  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:ENG.3380 - Do it! Take his class! Dr. Fulton is the best English professor I have taken during my time at Baylor. He provides detailed notes in response to every writing assignment submitted, assigns a reasonable amount of work, and is very compassionate. The course was online so we were assigned 1 discussion board post per week (300 words at least), 1 journal entry per week which you submit at the end of the semester, and occasionally a quiz. There is one midterm and a final, plus term paper. The course is spaced out perfectly so that the students can succeed and dive into the material. I enjoyed the class so much that I took him again this semester.   - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2310 - THIS MAN! This man is my favorite. I don't know why he hasn't been reviewed in almost a decade, but rest assured, in 2020 he is still an amazing prof. So sweet, so engaged, so knowledgeable. Made this boring required course one of my all-time favorites. 10/10, wish I could take another class with him before graduating.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:American Lit to Whitman - Please do not judge Dr. Fulton on the content of his class. He can't help the fact that he has to teach you boring accounts of early American History. Dr. Fulton is AWESOME! He's super quirky and he thinks he's pretty funny (so laugh at his jokes!) which makes for a pretty fun class experience. As I said before, the class material is not quite as fun. However, he does a great job of getting you interested in the material. On the exams he provides you with quotes with which you have to name the author of the work, the title, and the significance. This sounds really hard, but don't worry, it's not. Take notes during class, in fact, you should probably even highlight the passages he talks about during class because those will be the passages on the tests. He has a few quizzes, but they were pretty much all take home and very easy. Be sure to pick a topic you are really interested in for the research paper. I did and I absolutely loved writing my paper.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:ENG 3380 (Summer) - Animated and thought-stimulating, Dr. Fulton represents the vanguard of Baylor's English department. Using class time to conduct in-depth discussions on the works read, he utilizes this laid back atmosphere to foster the innovation of ideas and interpretations. With colorful anecdotes and easy quizzes, Dr. Fulton pinpoints most of the course's concentration on the in-class lectures/discussion. His tests are easy, requiring one to simply identify a text, its author, and the implications of the chosen quote to the work as a whole. Overall one of the best professors and class experiences I have thus had at Baylor.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3380 - He is such a great guy. The class was basically read the material, go over it in class, like the key things that would be found in tests or on the midterm/final. The midterm was cake, if you pay attention in class. It was identify the quotation and its significance, so it wasnt that bad. We did a paper and a project, which weren't bad at all either. He's a super great guy -- I recommend him.   - Grade In Class:A

Comments:4380 - Fun teacher despite the extremely boring material...he does make you write a 25 page paper but he grades things pretty easy (about 1/2 the class made a 100 on the midterm)...all in all a free A if you do the assignments  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:4374 - He's not a very good teacher and he assigns a lot of work...but he does grade very easy...lots of work but if you do it all, it should be an easy A  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Eng 2304 - I love this guy. His class is awesome! if you dont have the reading done by class time...dont sweat it. just make sure you've read everything come mid term and final time. the tests are ten short answer questions and you have to know author, work, and what the paragraph means to the work as a whole. it's really not that bad. there are two papers and everything is discussed in class. go to class and take notes and it's a guaranteed A.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:ENG 2304 - I found this class quite easy because he did not require much else apart from reading the material, and participating in class discussions. There are two essays and a midterm and final. The essays are 5-7 pages long, and he grades quite liberally. The best thing is to take notes when he lectures, and mark passages that he reads in class. This makes writing the essay much easier, and also all you need to do to study for the exams is read those passages read and discussed in class. It worked for me. The other assignments given are very easy. As long as you keep up with the reading, this class should be an easy one.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:excellent prof. he's willing to help with any problems you have, and is fun.

Comments:I took him for my second english class as well as American Lit. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM. He cares about his students, he keeps the class as interesting as English can get, and is always there to discuss your grades.
