*A 5 star workload is an easy workload; a 3 star is average; whereas a 1 star workload is extremely hard.
Comments:MKT 3305 - I took him online. He is very sweet and wants you to learn a lot! Sometimes the videos and readings were a lot but as long as you know what's going on you'll be fine on the exams. There were a lot of summary type things which were annoying but it's an online class so. It's probably the best you can get! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:MKT 3301 - I did not have the best experience in this course which was disappointing because I thought it was going to be great. He has videos that you watch that are all up from around 2021 in which he emphasizes is availability and he feels very personable. However, in reality, it took a very long time for him to respond and it was almost always a one sentence answer to the many paragraphs I had written to receive feedback and help. He also structures it so that assignments are 80% of your grade which sounds like a good thing except that they are graded as either a 0 or a 100. I found this to be very disheartening when I had put a lot of an effort into an assignment and I forgot one part of it, so there was no credit. This increased my stress levels for the rest of the semester in order to make sure there was no part missed and the assingments wound up taking me about 3 hours at least to complete. The tests are almost not connected to the assignments at all because the assignments are all term-definition, but the tests go into random corporations and ask you to apply the principals that he never fully explains by the videos. I think this class could be good for some people but I found the expectation going into was very different from the actuality. - Grade In Class:B
Comments:3305 - If you actually are wanting to learn in depth about marketing, do not take this online course. However, if you are looking for a free online 3 credit hours, take Professor Easley. The exams are super easy and you should make an A on all of them :) and the homework is lengthy at times but use the book and deliver a good amount of information and you should be in good shape (homework grades are either a 0 or 100.) Overall, was a super easy class that did not take much effort to get an A, and he is a nice man, would recommend. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:MKT 3305 - Kindest man ever. Such an easy class. Watch his videos, they are so cute!! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:3305 - Richard Easly... is EASY. This is an online class, so in signing up for it you should not expect to learn much. If you need a free 3 credit hours - take it! I spent one hour MAX on each of my weekly assignments. In watching his online videos, you can tell that he is a very nice guy. Highly recommend if you are NOT a Marketing major! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:MKT 3305 - this class is fairly easy and he is a nice grader. yes, you either get a 100 or 0 on your assignments but you really have to not try to get a 0. there were 3 exams (one being the final). they are not hard. there is a lot of writing in this class. the assignments are the big writing portion of this class but it is not the worst as it is vocabulary and you relate it to a topic you choose at the beginning of this semester. he has video lectures but each at approx. 5 minutes long. there's only 1 assignment a week and after such # of chapters, there is an exam. no discussion boards. you will need to purchase the textbook. you will need to read it. all assignments on canvas. i would recommend him to someone who is not a marketing major. someone who does not mind heavy writing for one assignment each week. someone who can time manage properly (because of the work load) and gives their effort on assignments. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:3325 - This class is online. It was so incredibly easy, it felt like I was cheating by just being able to take it. You'll pretty much forget you're in this class, but when you have an assignment due and have to watch his lecture videos, you'll remember that Easely is a wonderful caring guy. Can't recommend this enough. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:4350 - I found my marketing professor, Professor Easley, to be knowledgeable and engaging throughout the course. The most valuable aspect of the class was the continuation of research within the scope of the marketing concepts we were learning. However, I did find the length and time commitment required for one assignment to cover an entire unit to be a bit excessive. Overall, I appreciated the effort and dedication put forth by Professor Easley in teaching the course. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:MKT 3325 - He is a wonderful guy, really cares about his students. I think people rated him so low because the class doesn't operate like a normal course. The workload is so low and it's an automatic 100%! The directions may be vague but literally as long as you submit something half decent, you'll get 100%. Tests are easy and open note, take him for an easy A. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:MKT 3325 - I think one reason why his score on BU Books is so low is that he didn't publish his score on canvas in time. He is a professor with a lot of experience so you can hear examples of his personal life in his classes. Moreover, he will skillfully combine these examples with marketing. Really nice Professors, take him! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:MKT 3305 - Professor Easley is a great professor. I took online MKT3305 and it is an easy class concept-wise, but there is a lot of work. He says that in an online course you should expect to spend as much time as you would in class and he isn't kidding. The weekly assignments are simple. There is an attendance assignment and an actual assignment. The attendance assignment is just writing down points from videos. These videos are split into 5-minute videos and there have been anywhere from 5 to 20 videos per week. The other assignment is using the terms from the book and doesn't take much time. These assignments get graded as a 0 or 100. The exams are open note and easy. Professor Easley is always available to help and gives you his personal cell phone to text him anytime. Don't expect to take less time on this online, it is just as much work as if you were in person. If you like online classes, it is worth it to take it. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:Mkt 3325 - Wish this class would have been in person because he seemed like an awesome dude. Gave out his cell phone number and told us to call him any time whether for questions about class or just to talk. He talks about his ex wife a lot which is kind of weird. Tests were easy, homework was kind of a pain because he made us submit notes from the lectures to make sure we were actually watching them, but everything was a completion grade so no complaints. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:MKT3325 - I seriously don't know why he's getting any negative reviews! This class is extremely easy and he is such a sweet man. He loves to build friendships with his students, and the coursework is very straightforward and manageable. If I could take him for every marketing class I would; he is an absolute delight. Don't listen to his negative reviews! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:3325 - Absolutely terrible. Easily one of the worst professors in my four years at Baylor. The class is a joke and he is an awful teacher. The tests are based off of a book, but he talks about whatever he wants. If you want to learn about consumer behavior just watch a YouTube video and you will get a deeper understanding of the subject than you would in his entire class. As a professor he was completely unhelpful, and he refused to meet with me when I asked for clarification on assignments. Only take him if you don’t mind listening to off topic personal and political rants for an hour of your day and if you don’t care about your education. Complete waste of time and money. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:3325 - Such a great guy! Lecures are a little long-winded at times, but he really does care for us. Generally one quick assignment a week that is an auto 100 if completed correctly. Tests are straightforward and the final is an assignment that we have a week to complete. Great dude, great course! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:3325 - I have no idea how his ratings on here are so low, he is literally the most pure, kind, and wholesome professor at Baylor. He genuinely cares for all his students and makes an effort to get to know each of them individually. His assignments are short and usually just a completion grade, and they all apply the subject material to real life which was so interesting and actually made me learn the material better. Tests are extremely easy since they are all open book and notes and are very fair. by far my favorite class I’ve taken at Baylor yet and easiest A. Take him!! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:3325 - I have no idea why Professor Easley's score is so low. He is a sweet man, who just wants his best for his students. I was really struggling to keep up with my assignments from all my classes during COVID and professor Easley went out of his way to make sure we all had what we needed and was very lenient on due dates with everything going on. There is not much homework as it is a very conversational class with discussions. 100% recommend. He even gives you different options than taking the exam if you do not test well. TAKE HIM. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:3325 - Professor Easley used real world experiences to help you understand each concept. There were weekly papers that were short and easy and you will most likely get an a on each of those if you put the effort in. His tests are pretty straightforward if you study and understand the material well, and remember to ask him questions because he will steer you in the right direction catchy. Most of his tests are multiple-choice and a few free answer. I loved how helpful he was for this class specifically but also any other marketing classes I had. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:3325 - Dr. Easley is a sweet sweet man who tends to go off on tangents during class. The tests were more challenging than I thought because of the lack of material taught in class. He really does give you every opportunity too get an A- from accepting late work, to offering EC, to not taking attendance. I still feel like I have learned a good amount from reading the book to prepare for the tests. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:3325 - This course was a complete waste of time and money. I learned maybe 3 things total the entire semester. In class, all he talks about is his personal life and teaches no material. I know nothing about consumer behavior and I am afraid this will hurt me later on in my career. Tests were hard because you don't learn anything. Some people in class went to 4 total classes: each test and the first day of school. No attendance policy and completion grades for all assignments. If you want an A, never go to class, and are okay with not learning anything, take this class! He forgot to put one of my friend's final grade in bearweb too. RIDICULOUS - Grade In Class:A
Comments:MKT 3325 - Learned nothing. Nice guy, but can't stay on topic and has no substantive course material. Tests are a joke. Easy A, but you'll wonder if your Baylor degree is worth the paper is printed on. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:3325 - This class is pointless. You won't learn anything. The tests are extremely hard because he doesn't teach anything in class. He is a great guy but I wasted money taking this class. - Grade In Class:B
Comments:3325 - Nice professor. Class seems pointless, but he does a good job of giving examples for the topics discussed. It can just be difficult to understand his point when he rambles. He speaks his mind, which can be bad sometimes. Tests are not difficult, easy assignments (about 2 per week), and he is quick to respond via email for questions. Not bad, just seems pointless. - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:3305 - Professor Easley is one of the NICEST professors at Baylor. Hands down one of my favorites!! Take him if you want an easy A! Yes he talks about his personal life but they apply to the material! If you don't like learning off of powerpoint slides or reading textbooks and instead just prefer to talk about life with a nice professor, TAKE HIS CLASS! The homework is extremely easy (completion) and all you have to do for the tests- memorize the definitions! Ask him questions on the test!!!! If you go up and ask him questions, he will pretty much tell you the right answer. He is an amazing professor her genuinely cares for his students! TAKE HIM! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:MKT 3325 - Professor Easley is a really nice guy and has been at Baylor for so many years, but this class is a waste of time. You won't learn anything. You will learn more about his political views, dating life, and Fixer Upper than actual Consumer Behavior. He has powerpoint slides that don't even match up with the textbook terms. Your grade is derived from attendance which is hard to do because class is so boring and sometimes you can't even be on your computer cause he'll call you out, a midterm, a final, and chapter assignment write ups which are easy. If your semester is looking rough and you're just looking for an easy A , then take him. But if you want your money's worth for the class, take someone else. Again he's a good guy, super knowledgable about CB, he just can't teach it. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:MKT 3325 - With Dr. Easley what you will get is a complete waste of time. If you don't mind sitting in a classroom for an hour twice a week just aimlessly string into space while he rants about his political views and how everything in the world relates to consumer behavior then go ahead, take him. But if you want to actually learn something and get what you paid for then take someone else. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:3320 - Avoid this class at all costs. I am in the class right now and it is the biggest waste of my time. Every day he spends the entire hour and fifteen minutes talking about politics or his personal life... The tests are extremely difficult because they are 100% book based. This class taught by him is a complete waste of my tuition and I regret signing up for it. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:MKT 3325 - Awful. Just awful. This class is the absolute worst class to take in the business school. It's a waste of tuition money because you waste 2.5 hours of your life every week by enrolling in this course. Nothing that is discussed in class is relevant at any point. He talks about his personal life in too much detail, making for quite an awkward class environment at times. Course expectations are vague at best, and you never know your standing in the class. I, for example, received an email halfway through the semester with an "estimated course grade" of an A. After taking finals, I received an A- in the course without even being able to see my exam grade or discuss the exam. He waited until the last possible minute to upload grades so that students cannot contact him about it. His tests are deceivingly difficult. You'll be tempted to treat this class as a blow-off class because class preparation is very easy and class time honestly is a joke. The tests, however, are difficult. Exams are about 80 questions, half T/F and half multiple choice. You will need a good comprehension of textbook material in order to do well. He recently changed his course layout to where there are only 2 exam grades instead of 4. I'm getting tired of writing about this. Basically, he's a very nice guy but an awful professor. He wastes your time and tuition, and the lack of knowledge of class standing is very frustrating. - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:3325 - Easley is a great guy, very very nice and always available to help (As long as you don't ask him what will be on the test, because in that case he will just answer "I don't know, I have not read it yet" His class is very "chill" he never actually teaches anything. He is very good at going off topic and taking about his personal life instead of teaching. Being a great guy does not make him a great professor. For this class you will literally have to teach yourself. It is a VERY easy class all throughout the semester with one project (super easy) that is distributed throughout the entire semester. the problem lies on the tests. HE DOES NOT WRITE HIS TESTS AND THEY ARE FREAKING HARD. He has even mentioned in class that he could not make an A on that test when he took it. Easley also does not post any grades at all, its kind of a gamble. All throughout the semester you have to wonder how you are really doing because he does not even know (i asked about my grade and he could not tell me) GREAT GUY -- AWFUL PROFESSOR. If you think that you can teach yourself everything before the test then definitely take this class, super easy throughout the entire semester, but his tests are hard. - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:Consumer Behavior - Professor Easley is so kind and caring! What is tested is the book material, and this is different than what is taught in class. You write on a discussion board twice a week for 30% of your grade, and it's an easy completion grade. If you make good grades on the 3 tests, you don't have to take the final. Easley cancels class a lot, and his in class lectures were very interesting! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:MKT 3325 - Professor Easley is one of the friendliest, nicest teachers I've had at Baylor and he loves to go off on random tangents and stories, but always finding ways to relate everything to marketing. Class time is extremely laid back, which I like, and he often lets class out early. That being said, this course is harder than it appears. You will not learn the necessary material in class as he sometimes goes over the power points but spends most of the time playing videos or telling stories that relate to marketing. If you want to do well you have to READ THE TEXTBOOK and memorize EVERY definition because the textbook doesn't always go along with the study guides that he sometimes forgets to send out or sends out late. The tests are tricky multiple choice questions so don't save studying for the night before. Study two or three days in advance and make sure you cover everything. It is difficult to reach him by email and he gives out weekly assignments which are not very structured, very ambiguous, and I never know how much to write on these or what to write about. They are always due Sunday at midnight but he usually forgets to send them out until saturday evening and somehow expects his students to spend 6 hours on them. He's the nicest teacher ever but his teaching method and requirements for the course are confusing. Overall, I like the class, but it was a little frustrating at times. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:3325 - Dr. Easley is nice and makes himself available to his students, but he has a tendency of over-sharing about his life which felt like I was in a therapy session. The class is easy if you do all of the reading. There are 4 test plus the final. There is a great opportunity for extra credit where you post in a discussion board, it definitely helps your grade. Read your book and study the outlines prior to the test. Expect to have discussion in class; Easley doesn't lecture or talk about anything that will be on the test. Make sure you ask what chapters are on the test, the syllabus is a little confusing. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:Consumer Behavior - Dr. Easley is a great guy, I took his CB class, a may mester, and went to Europe with him for the Eurpean Business Seminar (def should try and do the EBS program). His class is fairly easy, and as long as you put forth the effort and STUDY the vocab you'll do fine. One of my favorite professors at Baylor. - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:MKT 3325 - He is a very nice guy and seems to care about the students. On the other hand, he is a terrible teacher. What we discussed in class was rarely on tests. Tests started out fairly easy and then later on they got more difficult and started making less sense. - Grade In Class:B
Comments:Consumer Behavior - Dr. Easley's consumer behavior class is an interesting experience, that's for sure. Dr. Easley is a character (and a nice guy too); he goes through powerpoint lectures from time to time, but many classes he showed us random articles and videos that loosley connected to topics we were learning in class. Most of the time, it felt like we were having coffee with him rather than sitting in a class. With that said, there's really not any homework, just studying for tests (we had 5 or 6 I think). You kinda have to learn it all yourself, but the powerpoints he provides and the online resources from the textbook are all you need. I didn't sweat too much over this class. If you have to take this class, just do the work, and don't worry about it; it's not very demanding. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:consumer beh/mkt research - He is not a good teacher; he rambles on about his personal life; random stuff that is not on the test. THen right before the test he will fly through a million powerpoints and say thats it. He sees things as black or white and there is no negotiating with him; He is very vague about what he wants and not very helpful. - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:MKT - People are crazy for not giving this guy higher ratings! Trust me, this guy is super nice, pretty much just tells stories in class all day and makes good class discussion. Intelligent guy, looks at life in almost a Seinfeld manner and poses good questions and thoughts, all you have to do for the test is know the vocab from the book, really easy class and a great guy. TAKE HIM - Grade In Class:A
Comments:4600 - Ok now don't be fooled by all of these other comments. Dr. Easley is an awful teacher. I would rather stab my eye out that have to sit though that class again. Maybe in other classes he lets out early, but never in MKT 4600. It's a three hour class and it always went three hours...even though we only covered about 45 minutes of actual information. He is a nice guy but a horrible teacher. There is a big project that he gives no criteria for and then slept through everyone's presentation...seriously! If you can get in any other class, do it. Or if sitting and listen to a man ramble about absolutely nothing is more your cup of tea...then have fun. - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:4600 - Ok Easley is a very nice guy... don't get me wrong. But he does not teach. You sit in class for 3 hours twice a day and learn nothing. Class is fun and laid back and then he kills you when the tests come. Gives zero preparation for the tests. Its a killer class! :( Good luck - Grade In Class:C
Comments:4600 - Dr. Easley is a very interesting professor because he is an avid reader and knows a lot of random facts. He does tend to go off topic in his lectures, but it's kind of nice in a three hour class. He started late everyday which is great if you're in the classroom with computers. He also gives 2 10-15 minute breaks to let us breathe, and to transition to the other book (2 courses in one). He's very concerned that we all learned the material and extremely helpful out of class. There were 3 tests (the 2nd one's the hardest) and one project for the final (easy final!). I would really recommend him. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:3325 - AMAZING - I had ol' Easley for Consumer Behavior and his class was incredibly fun to attend. You could probably learn more in another class, but I loved him and I am taking another one of his classes. Understand conceptual definitions for the tests. The project is easy.. I just reccomend doing it over something he might be interested in (be creative!!!). Also, it is offical that this man knows everthing there is to know, so even if you don't take him, you can go by and ask him anything...really...anything. At the end of the year he takes all of his students to his Ranch/home in China Springs to go-cart, horseback, and have dinner. Gettin a picture of how cool this guy is?!? - Grade In Class:A
Comments:MKT4350 & MKT 3325 - Dr. Easley is a great teacher. Classes are fun and interesting! He always provides real-life examples to the material. Tests and other assignments are good measures of your knowledge. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:3325 - Easley is a nice man. The first test of the semester was recall fill in the blank from class discussions which was terrible, but the last two were from the book. The book tests are not too difficult since they were multiple choice. He uses good examples and is very personable. His class is not boring at all, but sometimes pointless (for test material). The project is really fun. - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:Internet Marketing Strat - Extremely friendly and affable. His class lectures can get off topic, however he frequently lets you out early. Most of scheduled class time is devoted towards group work on the project. As long as your group does a sufficient job of putting in effort on the project and you study a little for the midterm, you'll get an A. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:MKT 3325 - Usually lets class out early. Nice guy, but gets off topic easily and stays there. - Grade In Class:B+
