Comments:BIO 1305 - Professor Lee is a very nice man, and he seems like he genuinely cares about his students. However, he has a very thick Korean accent which can make it difficult to understand, which was definitely the case for me, as this was my first class at Baylor. He has four tests throughout the year which are all multiple choice, except for some short answers which he will tell you what to know for those, and the final exam is not cumulative. He drops the lowest exam, which was very helpful. I only learned towards the second half of the semester that he takes a lot of questions straight from the pearson homework, so I would definitely make sure that you know that stuff well. The class isn't too difficult if you put in the time to go over the slides, study the things he tells you to study, and do the homework and memorize the answers for the tests. If you are looking for a relatively straightforward class, then I would take him, but if you are looking to actually learn in his class and be prepared for the MCAT, I would not recommend.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1106 - Professor Lee is very nice as a person, however, he is not a good professor. I have heard different things from his TAs, but I would avoid taking him for Biology 1. He is only teaching general biology because he has to and he is not interested in it. He is difficult to understand and the way he lectures, he seems very unsure of what he is saying. His tests are very specific in their questions and they are over things that were barely discussed in class.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:1305 - READ THE TEXTBOOK! The majority of his exam is based on the homework and readings. Dr. Lee is a very nice guy but hes too smart for his own good and he is not the best at teaching. There are 4 exams with one drop and the final is not accumulative which is so helpful during such a stressful time. I found myself just memorizing the homework questions and dont feel like I learned very much since the things he taught in class are not on the exams much. If you get this professor you will be fine as long as you read the textbook however I do not recommend this professor if you have other options.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:4308 - Dr. Lee is an extremely knowledgeable and dedicated instructor who cares about the success of his students. Genes and Development is a true 4000-level class, being that it can be very dense and specific. That being said, office-hour Dr. Lee is very different than lecture Dr. Lee, if you come to him with questions, he will help you through. I woud highly recommend taking him for any class.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:BIO 3342 - I made a pact that if I made an A in this class I would write a BUBooks review. Well, here we are. For starters, Dr. Lee is really helpful when you ask. He is incredibly bright and tried many times to dumb concepts down for us. He really tries to be a great resource for his students. I thoroughly enjoyed the concepts in his class. Dr. Lee is also very honest about what he tests on. Yes, you need to know the details of everything, however, this is a detail-orientated class. There was no required textbook, however, he would mention that if you did not completely understand a concept after lecture to refer to the textbook. This was used as an extra source rather than a requirement, otherwise it was just his slides. I really enjoyed his class and would like to take him again. Once you get used to his style and pay attention in class, it is super interesting!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:BIO - There was basically one assignment a week that you could easily finish with an A in 30-45 minutes. Reading amount is to be expected in a Bio class but overall his class was EXTREMELY interesting. He seems to be somewhat dull but he is not a bad person nor bad professor. All I can think of is that his voice may be a bit boring or maybe he is not very interpersonal. Personally, I like him and his class was again, very interesting.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3342 - DO NOT EVER TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. Here are some reasons why. 1. His teaching ability is trash. He has no idea what on earth he is teaching and even if he does he teaches so vaguely that he expects YOU to study the things that he went over broadly in depth. I have met so many professors who teach Biology in Baylor but I have never seen anyone who teaches this trash. He also was like "oh you don't need a book for this class" and proceeds to give reading assignments that is definitely going to be on the test. He also has NO IDEA when the test dates are. I asked when the test date was and he was like "I don't know you should know" like what the f? 2. Attitude: HORRIBLE. He is so rude and he threw the paper that he was giving to the students on the table. I should admit that the people on my table and I didn't like him AT ALL but we didn't make it obvious for him to know that and he threw the paper on the table. He is the one who is so dumb in teaching and has absolutely NO IDEA what he is doing and he turns it to the students who doesn't know what the hell he is teaching. 3. He also always saids the word "you know" expecting us to know everything. Like dawg if you don't teach how on earth are we supposed to know? DO NOT EVER TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. HE WILL RUIN YOUR GPA. His test questions are so specific when he teaches so vaguely and he also doesn't know what he is doing.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:4308 - If you had questions about what was lectured in class, finding the information in the book was very difficult. We had to buy two textbooks for the class, and I never used the book after the first exam. The class lectures are pretty much only what you need for the class, whatever he talked about in class will be on the exams. The paper exams with fill in the blank or short answer questions with drawing were tough but the online exams were much easier. I took 3342 with Dr. Lee before and there was a lot of overlap, but if you took it with Dr. Abel there apparently is less. Tests were a mix of short answer, T/F, long answer, mcq, matching. Look, Dr. Lee is a nice guy and he's got some jokes but that doesn't help how he speaks in broken English, which makes understanding him challenging. The one upside is Dr. Lee curves to make the averages around 70. Compared to Histo or Anatomy, this class was definitely easier to get an A in but the disorganized and poorly run lab alongside the mess of lecture has made this my least favorite class in 8 semesters.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Bio - Honestly, this guy seems like he could be a nice guy but he is one of the worst teachers I have ever taken when you email him he has very rude responses. I emailed him because I had trouble with the Pearson page and he told me there wasn’t enough evidence so it was my fault and his test are hard to read and over the most specific parts of the slides that he will never mention in Class DONT TAKE THIS GUY IF YOU STILL WANT A WILL TO LIVE  - Grade In Class:D

Comments:1305 - His powerpoints are pretty straight forward. There's online hw about the textbook readings but there's quizlets and stuff so its not too difficult and helps give your grade some cushion. Do ALL the extra credit, this is what got me an A. Tests average but not impossible  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1305 - Brilliant man but his teaching is very uncertain in method and he is frankly too smart to teach bio 1 to freshmen because he fails to understand what the class is strugling with.   - Grade In Class:B

Date: 2022-04-12

Comments:1305 - He read from the slides and then would spend a big time in class talking about slides with photos. Our homework was on topics we would learn in two weeks and he doesn't believe in curves or in letting us see where we messed up on the multiple choice tests. There wasn't that much homework, but it didn't help. This is a class where it's beneficial to self-teach. If you aren't willing to do that, transfer or drop.  - Grade In Class:DROP

Date: 2021-12-20

Comments:3342 - I took this class with exams online. He does not explain this very clearly and this class was pretty much a memorization of the entire powerpoint word for word. The class averages were in the 80’s for most exams, but not because the class was easy but because everyone worked really hard for it. The course load is a lot and you must know everything almost word for word. He has a homework grade which is easy and counts as a test grade and one drop test so that was very helpful.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3342 - First off, it should be known that Dr. Lee is a nice guy, and he wants to help you succeed, but if you want a professor that is going to teach you well, I would recommend taking another professor. While the class is doable with him, it will require a lot of teaching the material to yourself. I hate using the language barrier as an excuse because I know he can't help it, but him not being a native English speaker really made it hard for him to get a concept across to us in lecture, and he also would mumble occasionally, making it even harder to understand him. Like I said, I know he can't help it, but it really makes it difficult to understand the lecture. Lectures ultimately became worthless to me, and the only reason I went to class was because he took attendance. As far as the class is concerned, the exams were based directly from the powerpoints, so I would just read over them a few days before each exam, and I did fine. He will also pull questions directly from the online homework and practice exams if he gives you one and not change them at all, so be sure to memorize those because those can be easy points. The saving grace of this class is that his final isn't cumulative, so once you're done with one unit, just forged it and move on to the next one. Definitely would recommend taking a different professor if you have the opportunity to, but even if you have to take it with Dr. Lee, it's still doable!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:4308 - He is a genuinely nice guy. He is so helpful and WANTS you to do well in class. The class before the exam day, listen carefully and he will tell you w=he is going to test you over. This material is dense and hard to wrap your head around sometimes but I took biochem 1&2 plus cell and molecular biology which helped. He is hard to understand sometimes but he's super passionate about this class. I had him for bio 1 and it sucked then though. BUt it was bio 1. Do his sample exams cause he pulls some questions from those but rewords them.  - Grade In Class:B

Date: 2021-04-30

Comments:BIO 1305 - If you didn't take AP Bio- good luck. He treated us like his upper level students (we were his only intro class that semester). The homework wasn't too much, but I put a large workload because you'll need to do a TON of reading outside of classtime.  - Grade In Class:C

Comments:1305 - Horrible teacher but very helpful when it comes to your grade. Wants to see you succeed. Nice guy  - Grade In Class:B

Date: 2021-01-11

Comments:BIO1305 - My biggest problem with Dr. Lee was was just that he wasn't super willing to help us, and didn't explain concepts very well. I have always been a good student, I read every assigned reading and attend every lecture, I take notes, I study, etc. but I legitimately could not swing better than a 75 on a test. I'm sure he is a great upper level professor, but he should not teach the intro classes. My advice would be to not take Dr. Lee for an intro.  - Grade In Class:C

Date: 2020-12-01

Comments:1305 - Upon attending Dr. Lee's office hours, he tried to hang up on me several times, because he thought I was done asking questions, and he tried to rush along my questions. In addition, he provided very little explanation when I asked him a question, and oftentimes confused me further.  - Grade In Class:C+

Date: 2020-11-20

Comments:3342 - Dr. Lee is a fantastic professor who unfortunately seems to be misunderstood by students. His lectures are highly reflective of the material covered on exams. I never read the textbook and instead paid full attention and took detailed notes during lectures and was able to make very good grades on all exams. However, this means that if you do not understand a concept covered during lecture, it will be hard to make up outside of class and there's a good chance you will see it on the exam. People often say that Dr. Lee is rude, but I have found that this is primarily a misinterpretation of his tone due to the fact that he is not a native English speaker. He tends to sound short or dismissive at times because of the language barrier, but he truly wants to help his students and if you demonstrate interest in the material he is always happy to explain things further or talk to you outside of class time. Anyone who says that Dr. Lee's lectures are irrelevant likely is not understanding the material covered, which is why it seems foreign and new on exams. Dr. Lee is personally one of the best Bio professors I have had at Baylor and I would highly recommend taking his classes.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2020-11-16

Comments:3342 - For the love of all that is holy do NOT take this man for molecular/cell. His lectures were often irrelevant, he won't tell you what to focus on for the exam (he wanted us to watch in class lectures, pre-recorded zoom lectures from last summer, read the textbook, outline the powerpoints that weren't the ones he used in class, and about 17 other things). The homework was easy (not helpful for studying though). There are no quizzes, so that's nice, but his exams are so badly written (even though he takes them from the publisher) that none of us could figure out what he wanted. The material he asked on the exams (mostly MC, some short answer that got graded so subjectively that you never get a good score on them) was often very obscure little details that he never went over (and I couldn't find in the book). He never answers emails; if he does, they're often extremely rude. During this hybrid semester, I requested to take an exam during a different time, as I had a class during the time he scheduled it, and he told me to suck it up and just skip the other class. Do not sit within the front three rows, or he will invade your personal space, step on your feet, and read your notes over your shoulder. He thinks it's ok to call students stupid over zoom calls, wants to argue with you instead of answering your questions (so there's no point in going to office hours), and can be extremely sexist at times. Oh and good luck ever reviewing your exams; he actively avoids scheduling appointments so he doesn't have to justify his grading.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2020-11-16

Comments:BIO1305 - Not a lot of homework and tests aren't horrible, but I honestly didn't learn anything from Lee. I learned everything from the textbook because the lectures were pretty basic without a ton of detail. Not a very forgiving professor and comes off as angry when we ask questions sometimes.  - Grade In Class:B+

Date: 2020-11-12

Comments:BIO 1305 - I loved Dr. Lee! He is more research-minded (I think he only taught one intro-level class), but he makes lectures interesting and always tries to help you out. There's mastering bio (which is equivalent to a test) but he does NOT remind you to do it so set an alarm for yourself every week, missing one can drop your grade big time. The tests were very straight-forward and I really just enjoyed his class. He was a really nice guy and always looked out for us grade-wise and just liked to talk to us. I still say hi to him if I see him around. Highly recommend, the work you put in to match his teaching style will be extremely beneficial in upper-level classes!  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:1305 - Dr. Lee is such a nice man, but his teaching methods could improve. He’s definitely more of a research-minded guy. There is mastering biology, but those homework assignments actually ended up being helpful for the tests. His lectures are long and very detailed so I would definitely recommend going to SI and reading the book. His accent is not as bad as other professors in the science department. I talked to him during his office hours and he’s actually really sweet and loves to crack jokes!  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2020-04-29

Comments:1305 - Dr. Lee is pretty nice, but I wouldn't go so far as to say that he's a good teacher. As long as you use the study modules and read the book from mastering biology it is easy to get a good grade in the class, but as far as learning anything from him I can't say that I did. His accent is very thick, but you get over it eventually. It's an easy A if you put in the effort, but is Dr.Lee the best teacher you can get? No.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2020-01-20

Comments:3322 - This class, especially when taught by Dr. Lee, has both benefits and disadvantages. Cons: lee can't teach (his accent only makes it a little hard to understand but his real issue is that he doesn't truly teach the material well, as the class is basically brand new), he can't answer questions well, super disorganized, can be misleading about material on exams, and he doesn't stick to the lecture schedule very well. Pros: tests honestly aren't bad if you memorize slides and EVERYTHING this man writes on the board (on the board=on the test), final isn't cumulative (at least the semester I took it), gives some extra credit, practice tests will often show up on exams (nearly the whole practice final was on the final). Honestly, take at your own risk, I would recommend taking a different professor that would far better teach the pretty complex material (aka take miles or Abel)  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2019-12-21

Comments:4308 - You have to study a lot for this class, but if you know the material well you will do fine. Dr. Lee is always willing to help you, and he wants you to succeed. Sit in the front because it can be hard to hear him sometimes, but his accent is not bad at all.  - Grade In Class:B

Date: 2019-08-22

Comments:BIO 1305 - Dr. Lee is awesome! He is funny during class and wants you to understand the material. He is fair in his tests, and if you study his powerpoints and the book then you will do fine. Make sure to be VERY clear on differentiating between different concepts and vocabulary words, because he will ask questions about similar topics and want you to really know your stuff (if it is anywhere in the chapter, he will probably test you on it). Its best to study a few days in advance so the information has time to sink in. However, none of his questions are designed to trick you. Rather than test lots of chapters at once, he tests very thoroughly on a select couple of chapters (most tests were 2 or 3 chapters) and skips other chapters. We never had quizzes, and the only daily homework we had was mastering biology, which was pretty straight forward. I personally never had any problems with his accent or his teaching style, but I know some people that did.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2018-01-17

Comments:1305 - Dr. Lee is a pretty good professor. He makes the course requirements very clear. He will tell you in class which topics are important, and sometimes even tell you what's on the test. If you do the readings and go to SI you're basically guaranteed an A. Honestly, his accent is not that strong and he is fairly easy to understand as long as you are listening, just make sure to sit in the front. Overall, it's an easy A as long as you do the reading, Mastering Biology, and go to SI.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2017-11-13

Comments:4308 - Sometimes he mutters at an inaudible level. His accent is so heavy, it sounds like he is speaking in Korean! There is no textbook, so you have to study from almost empty slides and the notes you can take in his nonstop, fast-paced lectures. He yells at students and is helpful and available in office hours, but moody. I studied very hard, but the whole class would fail exams and then get a C when he allowed everyone to retake it.  - Grade In Class:DROP

Date: 2017-11-08

Comments:BIO 1305 - So yeah, I got an A, but only by the grace of God and taking Biology AP in high school. I speak for almost everyone when I say, HIS ACCENT IS SO THICK YOU WILL LEARN NOTHING FROM HIM. Almost everyone in the class went to the SI Kristen (which by the way is darn amazing) to stay afloat in the class. Also, you can tell he hasn't fully acclimated into the American culture, because he does things ALL the time that American's would consider RUDE. Like, he made us buy these expenisve clickers that totaled out to be around 80 dollars, never really used them to count attendance so that was a awaiste and when they wouldn't work, he'd say "Too bad, your problem. While you talk to clicker company, I give you zero for attendance today." So yeah, your attendance is a small part of your grade. And while it is a small part of your grade it is still a grade! So this made a lot of people upset. He is very generous with Mastering Biology though. Mastering Biology is basically the only homework in the class and he will move it back if the website glitches or something. Other than that his tests aren't terrible, so if you are good at teaching yourself and understand Biology well you'll be fine. If not, I pray you understand his accent because I had no idea that when he said 'glucohun' he was saying glycogen until the end of the year.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2016-12-17

Comments:1305 - Dr.Lee was a awful teacher and extremely rude. He was never really available during office hours if you didn't show up in the beginning. He was not very understanding when it came to technological issues such as clickers or mastering biology. If you have him as a teacher, just study easy note cards because that's the only way you will pass this class. I'll never forget when a student said that their clicker was not working and he responded "too bad" and closed the clicker poll thus making them absent for the day. He crushed many of his students dreams of having a job in the medical fields. I'm sure he is a great person outside the classroom. However, I believe he doesn't adequately provide the experience many want at baylor.  - Grade In Class:C

Date: 2016-12-16

Comments:1305 - The only reason I rated him low was because he was super hard to understand. I tried studying the power points he gave in class and reading the book and did horrible on the exams then he recommended using outside resources like easy note cards. That is exactly what I needed and my grade increased tremendously. He is a pretty cool guy and can be very funny. I went to the SI a few times and found it to be a waist of time, I got more from rereading the chapters instead. I would recommend  - Grade In Class:C+

Comments:1305 - Dr. Lee is the best professor for 1305 biology. He teaches what you need to know and then lets you leave. Go to SI and you'll be fine, I found this class much easier than chem. Dr. Lee is a little hard to understand at times, but overall It never really effected my understanding. If I had to do it over again Id still take him.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2016-12-09

Comments:BIO 4308 - I really liked Dr. Lee and his cell and developmental biology class. His accent takes some getting used to but after a couple classes, you won't even notice it. The subject material, while very difficult, is actually very interesting. I took it in the summer and we only had tests, no quizzes or daily grades except for attendance. Tests are tough: multiple choice, short answer and some matching. You do not absolutely need the textbook, but I bought it and used it as a resource when I didn't understand a section, which proved very helpful. Listen in class, take notes and then review those notes for studying. Pay attention to what he draws on the boards and topics he spends a lot of time on; those are what the tests will focus on. I probably could've gotten a better grade in the class if I learned how to study for it sooner.  - Grade In Class:C+

Date: 2015-09-17

Comments:BIO 4108/4308 - I liked Dr. Lee and his class. He was a great professor. Very helpful if you go to his office hours. His class definitely is not an easy A so don't expect that. In order to do good on his tests you need to know the material very well. Most people in my class didn't do very good on the first test so don't get discouraged. His tests are not cumulative and they are mainly multiple choice, T/F in which you have to correct it if it's false, short answer, and sometimes drawings or graphs that you have to explain. If you know the material good you will do good on the tests. A lot of his powerpoints are pictures, so I thought the books were good to supplement his slides to look up the pictures. He curves a little at the end. The material is dense, but it doesn't make him a bad professor so I don't understand why some of the harsh reviews. I thought he was a great professor! It's an easy lab. Don't expect an A if you wait until the last minute to study. It's easy to get behind. Overall I enjoyed Dr. Lee's class and I would recommend him!  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2015-08-18

Comments:4308 - This class is painfully boring. So. So. Boring. Essentially, it's everything you hate about biology in one class. Dr. Lee is a very nice professor and I liked him a lot, but he talks so softly he can be kind of hard to understand. It is absolutely crucial that you take excellent notes on his ppt slides... this will be your test. Anything he talks about in class is fair game for the exams. So force yourself, do anything you have to do to pay attention. You don't need to buy the textbook. Everything you will ever need is on his slides. That being said, his tests are impossibly difficult. I would spend 10+ hours studying and still make an 80. His English syntax/grammar is not great so sometimes we would have no idea what he was asking for on an essay question, but that question would be worth 20 points, so one or two questions can kill your exam grade. Exams are MC, T/F, short answer, diagrams, labeling, drawing, essay, etc. If he draws on the board, he usually puts it on the exam. He likes to ask about individual molecules and questions relating to specific experiments/studies. If you have the option, I would highly recommend taking another upper level bio class. This was probably my least favorite class I have EVER taken.  - Grade In Class:B

Date: 2015-07-24

Comments:1305 - Dr. Lee's lectures consist of reading power point slides and drawing scribbles on the white board while muttering to himself. If you take his class, be prepared to go to all of the SI sessions because that is the only way you are going to pass.  - Grade In Class:B

Date: 2014-11-24

Comments:BIO 3100 - I have Lee for his seminar class on ubiquitin and proteosome. His seminar class basically consists of one presentation and summary page on a scientific research article of your choosing. He helped me pick an article to present and how to present it. I developed my presentation skills through this class. He didn't give us a final which is awesome! He is a nice guy and wants students to do well. I recommend lee's Bio seminar class!  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2014-04-16

Comments:1305 - Dr. Lee personally is a very nice guy. This was his first time teaching a freshman intro bio course (he has previously taught upper level genetics). He is very shy when it comes to teaching, as he tends to shake when he writes stuff on the board, it\'s so adorable. My advice for you is if you want to do well, please keep up with your reading, and do not wait last minute to study. His lectures consists of a PPT which correlates with the textbook, so if you listen in class, and do the reading, it is possible to make an A. He does assign hw problems on Mastering Bio, and they aren\'t bad at all if you read the chapter. Honestly, Biology is a hard subject to teach, so it\'s pretty difficult to compare and find a \"good\" professor. It\'s just one of those things where you just have to teach yourself, and resort to your professor or SI if you have further questions. His class is pretty straight to the point. He offered one extra credit quiz. You take 4 in class exams, and he drops the lowest score. The final isn\'t cumulative which is awesome. I could have made an A in the class had I not procrastinated so much at the beginning of the semester, and I also forgot to do a couple of the assignments on Mastering Bio, which really brought my grade down. But surely, an A is possible in his class. You just have to really put in a lot of effort to study, consistently. Good luck!  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:BIO 1305 - Mr. Lee is a very nice person and a terrific professor. He is super happy to help as long as you are putting in the work. This is his first time teaching a freshman course, but he is very good at explaining things in detail. His class was not hard at all as long as you read the book. I definitely recommend taking his class.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2013-11-05

Comments:4308 - Not a very tough course with respect to how much content is on an exam but full mastery of the content is needed. His exams will have short answer, multiple choice and fill in the blank sections that really test your knowledge of the material. I would not recommend buying either of the textbooks as 99% of test material comes from his slides and the experimental theories embedded within them. Should you need to read an outside article, he will most likely provide you with it through blackboard as a PDF. Great class. Really tests critical thinking and his slides cover momentous studies in cell biology which really helps build a vocab to read literature with.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Bio 4308 - Dr. Lee is a fantastic professor and is very passionate about teaching and helping his students. It is an advanced biology class so it will be more difficult than lower level and intermediate level bio classes but developmental biology is very relevant material and worthwhile to learn for future medical and graduate school students.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:BIO 4308 Cell Dev - BIO 4308 Cell Dev - His class is boring and his accent is sometimes hard to understand, but his test are predictable to say the least. He gives a practice exam the day before the test which will comprise of about 25% of your exam verbatim. And if he draws it on the bored, that will probably be the essay portion of the test. You should know exactly 50% of the test before you take it. But the other 50% is unpredictable. Look over the slides after lecture to get a proper knowledge of the material. No book, just his slides  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:4308 - Dr. Lee's class is rather dull, unless your really interested in molecular mechanisms. He never cancel's class. Takes attendence EVERYDAY, and his powerpoints are mainly just figures from the "optional" book. Buy the recommended book, because it is where ALL his slides come from, and study for the exams at least 3 or 4 days before. His exams are very difficult and the format is different for every test: multiple choice, T/F, short answer, drawing, reading graphs, shading cells etc. But in the end the class is bearable. Be there everyday, you can not afford to miss lecture. He moves very fast.  - Grade In Class:C+

Comments:4308 - He is a very helpful prof. and is always available during office hours. A lot of time, students dislike him because they find it hard to understand the materials. His exams are tough and require a lot of studying time. Basically, don't expect an A if you study the day of the test. Prepare a couple of days ahead. If you try hard and write down what he lectures in class and study, I guarantee he is very generous at the end of the semester and reward you for trying.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:4308 - The worst professor ever! I can't understand what he is trying to explain sometime in class. The notes are consist of nothing, but pictures which you will spent hours trying to figure it out using the text and learning the stuff yourself. His tests are really dumb and format is totally diff from other professors. I strongly recommend you take any other biology class beside his. Take this class if you wish to lower your GPA.  - Grade In Class:C

Comments:4308 - The worst professor here at Baylor. His tests are ridiculously hard. Basically short answers, T/F and you have to explain why it is not true, and fill in the blacks. He's horrible! I would rather take another upper level than his class. Extremely boring class ever.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:4308 - Cool man. No work besides studying for tests, which can be very time consuming if you don't pay attention in class. Tests come straight from powerpoint. Dr. Lee is always available to help you out when you need it. Great prof!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:4108 - Easy A lab grade. Not many grades, but he grades very leniently. Take this class. 4308 is a little tedious, but not bad for an upper level credit. Take good notes, though!!!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:4308 - Not the most enjoyable experience. He's nice but the teaching style is not terribly effective and I found myself barely being able to understand him sometimes. He talks softly and in broken English. He teaches straight from the powerpoints and rarely if ever uses the books that are assigned. Trying to go back to the book to understand what you couldn't understand from the lecture is tedious because the material listed on the syllabus doesn't always match the lecture and is too much to handle on a lecture-by-lecture basis. Basically you just follow the powerpoint and hope you remember how the pictures made sense in the context of the other pictures (which can be difficult when reviewing for the test but not impossible). Tests come straight from the powerpoint. The tests are difficult just due to the style. Multiple answer multiple choice questions. True/False where you have to specify how they are false. Some matching and fill in the blank. Lots of obscure details. If you are good at memorizing trivia from a set of powerpoint slides that sometimes don't make much sense then you should be ok in this class.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:4308 - Very nice man, but to tell you the truth, not the best teacher. He teaches straight off of a powerpoint which consists entirely of pictures, which is great to help you understand during the lecture, but when you try to study the slides before a test, you just stare at these random pictures and you have no idea what they mean. Anyways, I was scoring slightly above average on his tests (which usually seem rediculous), but luckily, he bumped us all up a little bit at the end of the semester (which I wasn't expecting), just enought to get me an A.  - Grade In Class:A
