Comments:Social World I - Hmm, it's hard to say. Segrest is an extremely intellegent man - he finished his dissertation during our semester. Maybe this is why his class wasn't that exciting, or maybe it was us, but it was pretty boring. There was hardly any discussion and his lectures are pretty monotonous (probably very good if you can resist sleep deprivation). But he's a great guy so I would recommend him.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:BIC - After reading these comments I registered JUST so I could correct all of the horrible comments about Dr. Segrest! I had him for two BIC classes, so of course the workload was heavy, but he is a great professor. I am female and he does not hit on you if you ask a question, that's a stupid thing to say anyways. He is a fair grader and really knows his stuff. If you're bored in class it's because you find the topic uninteresting. Learning isn't always going to be heart-stopping fun, we're not in grade school.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:PSC 3373 - Professor Segrest's lectures are okay if you don't want to learn anything and want to be bored for the entire semester. Also, he does make you feel uncomfortable around him as if he is hitting on you, so beware and think twice before asking him any questions.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Social World - Professor Segrest knows the texts well and his lectures/commentary will prepare you for the midterm and final exam. He is a very thorough grader, and that can have impact on your essays and other assignments. But, on the other hand, he is an extremely understanding and socialable guy.   - Grade In Class:B

Comments:Ancient Political Thought - Mr. Segrest could not explain the philosophy in a pertinent way whatsoever. I always felt uncomfortable around him like he was hitting on me. And he wanted to talk about and read books WAY off topic, which hurt my studies since this class was meant to be a basis for my later political philosophy classes. Oh, and his final paper assignment was absolutely ludicrous.   - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2320 - Perhaps the most pathetic professor I've ever had. He has to hang out with his students on the weekends for fun. He is extremely boring in class and believes Social World is the best class you will ever take. He is way more thorough than anyone would ever want him to be. However, if you ever have any questions, he sits by his computer all day long and will email you back in minutes. He is a very tough grader, but he does prepare you well for the two essay exams.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2301 - Good teacher, but not great. Not too much workload and graded fairly. Recommended.   - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:2330 - He is an awesome guy, he gets distracted at times but if you can keep him on track he is very good.   - Grade In Class:A
