Comments:HP 2307 - Dr. Shim is one of THE BEST PROFESSORS AT BAYLOR. He is super fair and his teaching style is always fun. He has real-life examples and multiple sports-related videos that actually show the functions of Biomechanics. He cares about each student and loves to interact ith studetns. If you pay attention in class and actually try to solve the practice problems the class should be easy and enjoyable. The labs could get a bit hard but he is super fair and as long as you do them he will give you grace. Literally one of the BEST professors I've had at Baylor.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Biomechanics - Dr. Shim is a really cool professor and wants his students to succeed! This class is tough but totally manageable. I'm terrible at math and physics so I was pretty scared of this class. But if you read the book and take really good notes during class you'll easily get an A or B. Dr. Shim is more than happy to help students and is extremely patient. Seriously, one time he sat there explaining one problem to me for like 20 minutes during office hours before I understood. Go into this class open minded and ready to work hard!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Biomechanics - Shim is a really nice guy. Always available and ready to help. He's pretty funny, and you can tell he cares for his students. He actually pays attention to what you tell him. As far as the class goes, you do have to study. His exams are kinda hard, and he does include some information from the book, but he will tell you where in the book. If you go to office hours before an exam with questions, he will help you. It was a a pretty decent class. GET A STUDY GROUP TOGETHER!!!!!!!!!!!  - Grade In Class:C+

Comments:HP2306 - Dr. Shim is a gem. He is very funny in a cute nerdy way and very nice. He really cares about his students inside and out of the classroom. We had 3tests plus a final, 3 labs, 2homework grades, and a big project at the end of the semester. The tests were extremely difficult because of the wording, but the material is what is taught in class. I studied the slides and tried to apply it. I think if I had worked more on applying and using the CD that came with the book I’d have gotten an A. Basically the tests do test what you know fairly well. The first is over the basics and definitions and then they progressively get harder. Find diagrams of movements and memorize those so that you can draw them on the tests to help you work through the questions. The labs are pretty simple, but try to study beforehand so that you can finish in the time given. The homework was easy and straight from the book. The last project was definitely helpful in teaching, but also a grade booster. He is very available and really wants you to succeed in his class and after college. All that being said I enjoyed his class and learned a whole lot BUT if there were another prof offered you would likely get a better grade with them.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:2306 - I have no idea why Dr. Shim has such a good rating. You would think this would be a relatively easy class, or at least enjoyable to study for. It is neither...so don't get your hopes up. The first test is a breeze, and then the second test hits you. His lectures are unbearable to listen to. He stops and thinks a lot so there are long random pauses, and he sounds so disorganized with his thoughts. I dread every day going into that class not because of the material, but because of his poor teaching. When it comes to studying for your tests, you're on your own. No matter how much you know inside and out of the material, there is no guarantee that you will ace it. All of his questions are too random and most of it he never even goes over or even mentions for you to go over. I read every chapter twice, made study guides, and memorized his powerpoints. None helped. Good luck.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:Kinesiology - He is a really fun guy that really knows what he is talking about. His tests are kinda hard, but you just need to make time to study.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:HP 2307 - If you took physics in HS or at College, it'll be helpful. Basic algebra and some knowledge of trig is needed. There are 3 or 4 labs, 3 tests and a final, and 4 or 5 homework assignments. He doesn't really do a good job explaining stuff but he tries and he is willing to answer any questions you may have which is good. He encourages out of class communication. The powerpoints are short and concise. The Dartfish project is kind of confusing but he's pretty lenient on grading (if you go first) he doesn't offer extra credit or quizzes so it's best to do well on the tests, homework, and labs because there aren't that many points available.  - Grade In Class:C+

Comments:2306 - Dr. Shim is probably the coolest professor at Baylor. I'm serious. He will talk to you and get to know you and is super nice. His test aren't that hard if you study his powerpoints and take good notes. Do well on the tests because one bad grade can hurt you. His final is much harder than the tests.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2306 - I like this guy a lot, however the class, as with most legit college courses, can be difficult if you don't study. His tests will kick your butt if you don't allow enough study time. The worst aspect of the class is the low point total (only 200). There is very little room for error. I failed the sheet out of the final and received a B.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:2306 - Easy Class. Nice Guy. Show up to class, take some notes, study the night before the class and you'll do great  - Grade In Class:A
