Comments:3310 - DR. TSANG!! This woman is an absolute angel, and on top of that, her class is incredibly easy. She's a very caring and understanding professor, so if you ever have any life struggles or academic conflicts, just talk to her and she'll gladly try to help you out! As for her class, I never felt like I had to worry for an exam. The questions are based on definitions and studies which are straight from the slides, so I never had to touch the textbook the entire semester. She also has intense ADHD which makes class super fun cause she'll go on rants and suddenly talk about her kids--but she'll always get the class to engage in something! She honestly just wants her students to be excited to go to class (which we were). As for the final, she literally said it would just be straight up definitions because "finals are hard and I don't want you guys to stress over this class". ABSOLUTE ANGEL.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:PSY 3310 (social psych) - She's so chill. She makes class engaging, so you don't feel like falling asleep. The course topics are really interesting and applicable to life, too. Workload is a weekly reflection question (you can write like a paragraph), weekly homework (on the textbook website, but it's a free 100% for completion and helpful for tests), 3 exams (mostly multiple choice with like 1-2 essay questions, pretty easy if you pay attention in class or look over the slides), and a cumulative final. Extra credit for SONA. She's also sooo nice. Take her.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:PSY-3310 - Took her for social psychology and overall she's great. Each week you have a homework assignment thats a completion grade and a short 1-2 page paper over material covered during the week. In lecture, she pretty much goes over everything you need to know and at the start of class she goes over review questions for the material, she also posts these online. There was 3 unit exams and a final, for the unit exams I just studied the powerpoints and her review questions and always did well. She also offers 5 points of extra credit if you participate in SONA research. Overall, she is great and I would recommend her for this class.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:4339 - Psych of Religion- This course with Dr. Tsang is the best course I've taken at Baylor. The only assignments for this class were readings, which she provides, and a reading quiz (both very easy), to be done before each class period. There is also a final paper which she grades generously. That's it! No exams or textbooks! The class is set up in a Socratic way so that a good percentage of your grade comes from participation in discussion. If you're not comfortable with talking in class, this may not be the course for you, but if you love deep discussion about relevant topics in psychology today, you would love this course! I've heard the other professor who teaches this course does it differently, so I'd definitely suggest taking Dr. Tsang. She's also such a kind, understanding person. Dr. Tsang will take time to get to know you and help you with anything you need. Highly suggest both Dr. Tsang and Psych of Religion.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3310 - I've only ever left one other review before and I'm writing this one because Dr. Tsang is one of my favorite teachers ever. She is so kind, funny, and understanding. I missed a test because I was sick and overslept and she was just concerned for me and made rescheduling the test as easy as possible. In class, she applies each concept to real-life examples (usually her kids) to make it easier to understand. In terms of homework, it's super easy (completion grade for the online homework with unlimited attempts and reflections are just answering the short prompt) so basically the hardest part is remembering to submit assignments. Her tests are also very easy and if you attend class and do the homework, you're sure to get a good grade. If I could take all her future classes, I would. Take her if you can!!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3310 Social Psychology - Awesome professor, runs a very managable and interesting class, definitely take her if you can. The HW is a completion grade and it helps you study for the test. All you have to do is read the book, watch her lectures and study a bit and you should get an A on every test. No quizzes in her class. All tests multiple choice. There are 4 tests (including the final) that all weigh the same. There is also a short powerpoint presentation which is very simple. Overall a nice break from harder classes, take her for sure!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1305 - Team taught Psychology: Dr. Tsang's is a fun, spirited professor. Her test is the second easiest of the four exams. She has some very easy parts in her section and some more difficult ones, but explains everything really, really well. Although team-taught definitely should be stopped in any class at Baylor, she made her section doable.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:PSY 3310 - She is kind and funny and thoughtful and considerate. Take her if you can- you won't regret it. I had some circumstances that required me to miss a week of class, but she didn't penalize me and made sure I was doing okay. Put in the work and you'll succeed.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:1305 Team taught - This is my review of all professors in the team taught section. Riley: anecdotal based teaching and extremely personable. Go to his office for anything. Weaver: I think he has the most intelligent lecture style, by making you think about his ideas. Tsang: easiest lecturer to pay attention because examples are used frequently and the class is engaged through said examples. Dolan: clinical psychologist and has thorough knowledge of clinical processes used today in psychology; probably most interesting lecture for someone who tells of psychology because it is not a 'hard science'. Overall, tests are all the same, people will say they're different, but they aren't. All professors use the test bank, know the powerpoints and textbook VOCAB for all the professors and an A is not difficult. The problem with this class and probably all intro psych classes is that the final is weighted 40%, independent of your drop test. I have performed extremely well in this class and still need a decent grade on the final to maintain an A. Essentially, the final is make or break, but you still have to bust your tail the whole time... not a fan. *One last thing for pre-meds looking for research opportunities: Weaver, Dolan, and Tsang run excellent and respected research labs at Baylor. Performing well in this class does not go unnoticed and they will even reach out opportunities for undergraduates to research. Take every test in this class seriously, none are easy, but none are that difficult either. If you learned the information and have seen practice questions of terms and concepts you are on your way to an A.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1305 - Had her for the team-taught class and she was very sweet! She had a lot of examples for the material she was teaching and her tests were straight-forward with no tricks at all. Definitely the easiest out of the 4 professors  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:PSY 1305 - Tsang is a very kind and sweet woman, and her teaching style reflects that. I took her as part of the group taught class for psychology, and her section was one of the better parts of class. She presents material clearly and gives you ample opportunity to ask questions. No real drawbacks to this teacher at all.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2017-04-07

Comments:PSY 1305 - She's very sweet and tells funny stories. You can tell social psychology is her passion and she tries to bring students into that world. She makes the class fun, and her test was probably the easiest of the four professors in team taught psychology 1305.  - Grade In Class:B+

Date: 2015-12-03

Comments:1305 - Dr. Tsang is such a sweet lady and loves to answer questions and engage with students. She's also great at answering questions but can sometimes become side tracked or get off topic during class which can make it difficult to stay focused and take notes. She likes to style her power points with themes which can make them difficult to read, but does a great job at explaining her material. She also has a great sense of humor and loves to make students laugh with the examples she gives in class. I really enjoyed having her as a professor.  - Grade In Class:B+

Date: 2015-09-16

Comments:PSY 1305 - Dr. Tsang is extremely sweet and bubbly. She has so much energy and seems to love being a professor. Her portion of the team taught course was very straightforward and test was not difficult.  - Grade In Class:B+

Date: 2014-05-22

Comments:PSY 3310 - Social Psych - Tsang is a really good teacher. She really likes the subject, so her lectures are interesting. The class was 3 tests and a final, an easy social norm assignment, and an article review for each test. The tests were very fair. Make sure you know the studies referenced in class. On the articles reviews, pay close attention to APA format. Great class overall!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:PSY 1305 - I loved Dr. Tsang! She was probably my favorite of the team taught class. Her test was very straight forward, and she began every class with a review of what we learned the class period before. She has an amazing personality, and she really wants her students to learn. I liked that about her. The main reason I didn't do well in this class was not because of anything the professor did, it was that I came in not knowing how to study properly and it overall affected my grade. Your entire grade is based off of four exams - 4 in-class exams (the lowest is dropped) and the final (cannot be dropped). If you're not a good test taker like me, this class may be a struggle for you. But if you go into this class with the expectation of reading EVERY night (seriously, don't wait until the night before, it's impossible...), and going to SI and seeing the professors when you need help, you should be fine in this class!  - Grade In Class:C

Comments:1305 - Dr. Tsang is amazing. She is a great lecturer. She has great examples, and really wants students to know the information.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1305 - I was in the team taught class. She's adorable! She has great outside examples that really help thorough understanding of a concept. She slightly reviews before lectures, and that really helps get in the mindset of learning.  - Grade In Class:B+

Date: 2011-12-15

Comments:intro to psychology - Dr. Tsang was my absolute favorite of the teacher taught class! she is so easy to understand and advises you to think of examples to help you better understand/remember information! Her test are basically the slides, but you still MUST read, especially the last chapter covered because the last chapter tends to be rushed through because they only have a certain amount of time to teach!! so take it upon yourself to go the extra step because that determines the B+'s from the A's :)  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2010-12-23

Comments:1305 - Tsang was a good choice to ease into material among the other profs in the team taught. Her test was the easiest, and her class was humorous and easy to pay attention in.DO NOT FALL BEHIND IN THE READING. This applies to all 3 of the profs  - Grade In Class:B+

Date: 2009-12-07

Comments:1305 - I had Tsang for the team-taught intro psych course. I never took any psych in high school, so the info was newer to me than some of the students who took AP in high school. Tsang was by far my favorite of the team course. She was really funny and her test questions were very straight-forward. She tests over what she teaches, with emphasis on the book. Read the chapters, go to class, study for the test..and you will definitely get an A atleast on her test for the semester.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2009-04-22

Comments:Psych of Religion - Awesome class. You have a reading every day, and then you just discuss it in class. There's a paper due each week, but its only a couple pages and very easy. For the final paper do a literature review - it's way easier than the case study. Overall I would totally recommend this class :)  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2009-02-07

Comments:4339 - Psychology of Religion is a really interesting course. I loved the discussions. The readings can get a bit overwhelming at times but if you keep up with them than you should do fine. There will be no tests but there will be reading quizzes. Also, I would suggest doing your major paper ahead of time. Overall a great class!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:4339 - Psychology of Religion with Dr. Tsang was an incredibly interesting course. The reading could be a little overwhelming at times, but it's always easy to get discussion points. Dr. Tsang is incredibly knowledgeable and truly enjoys this topic. I'd definitely recommend this course!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:PSY 1305 - Dr. Tsang was one of my favorite professors out of the team taught course. Her lectures were entertaining and I liked the way she taught the class. But as always, you can't just study the powerpoints. Read the book and pay attention in class and you will do fine :)   - Grade In Class:B

Date: 2008-11-13

Comments:1305 - I had her for the team-taught course, and she was a pretty good teacher. Sometimes a little boring and told pretty corny jokes, but she taught well and provided lots of extra resources in addition to the powerpoints and lectures (websites, videos, etc). The course is easy, just study for the tests and make sure to do the research credits!   - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1305 - Tsang was a great professor. She had a wierd sense of humor which made class exciting. She really wants students to do their best.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:1305 - great teacher!! keeps you entertained during class. make sure you read the chapters & study the notes given to you to prepare for her test. her test was pretty easy, i got an A on hers.  - Grade In Class:C+

Comments:1305 - Tsang is a pretty cool teacher. It's funny when she sort of "acts out" her lessons. And she makes really corny jokes which only she laughs at, and that's the only reason it's funny at all. But other than that, she's nice, helpful, and a really good lady. I'd take her again.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:PSY 3310 - Social Psychology- Dr. Tsang is really down to earth and hilarious. She makes a lot of jokes, and she's so animated during he lectures that it's easy to focus on what she's saying. She does a good job of making the class interactive by letting people give examples from personal experience or by having people divide into groups and do fun little activities that illustrate social psychology. She posts he notes on blackboard, which helps a lot too. Your grade consists of 4 exams, a final, 4 article summaries, another small paper (norm violation), and discussion board postings. One of the good things about this class is that your whole grade doesn't rest entirely on exams. There are many small papers and discussion board postings that can definitely raise your grade. The tests were multiple choice and essay, which weren't that bad at all as long as you go through the power point slides. And the slides, along with examples, follow the book, so if you get lost or miss class, it's easy to catch up. Dr. Tsang is also very helpful and is willing to bend over backwards to make sure students have an opportunity to understand the material and do well in the class. I would highly recommend her!  - Grade In Class:B+

Date: 2006-12-11

Comments:Social Psychology - Great teacher. She is very fun to listen to. For some reason, her tests are hard. They feel so easy, but I always come back exactly 10 points lower than I guessed I did. She phrases her essays very abstractly and then expects an exact answer. She grades pretty hard, and her grading is very inconsistent. But overall, the material in this class was easy, interesting and self explanatory, and her upbeat attitude really contributed to the class quality.  - Grade In Class:B

Date: 2006-12-08

Comments:PSY of Religion - DEFINITELY recommend this course!! It's a discussion based course - you sit in a circle for every class and discuss readings. There are NO TESTS, but you do have to write a paper every week over the readings, but you get to choose *which reading you want to write about AND *which question you want to answer about the reading. You get points for attendance, and there are pop quizzes, so it's important to read and to show up. You also get points to talking in class, but you can't get more than so many a week; it works out really well and she does a good job of facilitating so that everyone is able to get their points they need for the week. Oh, and the books you read and the subject in general is really interesting! it's a really fun class  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2006-11-30

Comments:1305 - She is very spunky & random! She explains everything to the max and answers all questions. Everything comes straight from the book. Slide shows are posted on blackboard too.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:1305 - good teacher. psych is just hard for me but she's so helpful. one of the best psych teachers here at baylor.  - Grade In Class:C+

Date: 2005-11-17

Comments:1305 - She is a great professor. She explains everything very well. There was a lot of material to cover but if you study the powerpoints you will do great!  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2005-11-02

Comments:4327 - I loved Dr. Tsang. She is very nice and helpful. She's usually very upbeat and excited, but sometimes her lecture can get a little boring. You need to read for the tests because they have essays, but they are very short and easy. I would recommend her.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2005-04-12

Comments:3310 - Her classes are fair. You'll need to study the book and her notes to make an A. For Theories of Personality, we had to pick a famous person and write 7 short essays on that person so pick someone interesting! Her classes are easy but a lot of repetitive busy work.   - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2005-01-22

Comments:3310 - Dr. Tsang is by far the best psychology professor I've had so far. She is so full of energy and has a wonderful presentation style. The tests aren't too bad and there are a few writting assingments, but they are not hard.  - Grade In Class:B

Date: 2003-12-14

Comments:It was my 3rd try at psychology and she was by far the best professor I had. She makes class interesting and has lots of energy!

Comments:Very good teacher overall.

Comments:Good teacher and lecture. Easy tests with little studying and homework.
