Comments:LF 1181 - i took beginning tennis and its sooo chill ive literally never played before and he teaches u everything and cancels class sometimes. theres a mid term and final but its on canvas and its lit the study guide he gives you beforehand. hes so chill all you have to do is show up for an A and thats it. its a fun class too tennis is lowk interesting and its a good way to get an easy LF class and hes so chill. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:Beginning Tennis - Take this guy if you just need the LF credit. He cancels class sometimes. Instead, you might have a quick online assignment that you get a lot of time to do. Just show up and try and you will get an A. There is no structure to the class since you just practice whatever he tells you to do. The tests are easy since it's off the review. Don't stress about it - if you have a high school diploma, you can make an A. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:beginning tennis - I also posted the comment just below this one but I forgot to add something. I noticed everyone keeps saying he canceled their classes a lot, but I would like to point out my class only got cancelled 3 times and each time was due to rain. So for me, class was almost never cancelled (which is ok cause the class was fun either way) - Grade In Class:A
Comments:Beginning Tennis - TAKE CARVER IF YOU'RE TAKING TENNIS. Some tennis professors get way to detailed about the sport and the way you swing the racket, making it difficult to succeed in a class that supposed to be easy. Coach Carver was so laid back, so much fun, and really good at teaching the sport. I had so much fun in this class and I'm honestly sad it's over. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:Tennis - Such an easy class. Carver is annoying but it's so easy to get over with how little is required. Definitely take it in the spring time because he'll cancel so many more classes. Don't take it if you actually want to learn something, because you won't....at all. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1181 - This class is THE EASIEST LF class you will take. He cancels class at least once a week and depending on the weather sometimes twice. You have one exam which he gives you a review that has the answers on it and then a final which for us was take home. The class is fun when you do get to play but it is too easy - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1181 - If you are going to take tennis, take this man! He is so nice, and this is class by far -BY FAR!!!- the easiest class I've ever taken at Baylor (which actually isn't saying much because I'm premed, but still), including the HPs I've taken. All you do is show up and study the "review" for the tests. The review is basically the test, but in sentence format (does not multiple choice). Don't even buy the book, waste of 10 bucks. The only thing that bothered me was that he canceled class a lot and was late a lot, but most people love that. Have fun! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1181 - Easy A, i had him for beginning tennis, pretty fun class, he cancels class alot, all you have to do is participate, the final is a test that he gives you a study guide for, just show up to class, highly recommended. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1181 - Carver! Loved him. First day of class he told us if we were taking his tennis class to get an "easy A", then we chose the right class. We missed at least 10 days of class due to rain and other things, and this was so nice being that it was an 8 am. He told us if we showed up at 8:15, that would be perfectly fine with him. No skills tests, just a written final which was beyond easy (he did mean to make a midterm, but we never took it). Overall even if he didn't have such good perks class-wise, I would still take him over again. Such a nice guy. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1181 - Easiest class....ever! Class never started until 5 minutes after.. we missed a lot of days due to rain... No class on fridays, ever. If you get less than an A in this class, you have something wrong with you! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1181 - Coach Carver is so great! He is extremely laid back, doesn't have class on Fridays, and is really nice! Class gets rained out a ton, but when it's dry, he makes it really fun (and short). Study the study guides he gives you (don't buy the book), and you will do well on the tests! You don't have to have any tennis skill to take this class, and there is never a skills test. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:HP 1181 - By far, this HAS to be the easiest class at Baylor. If you show up, you get an A. If you don't show up, you'll probably still get an A. Class is canceled more often than it's held. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:Beg. Tennis - SUPER EASY! i took it in the spring so class was canceled all the time bc of weather. when we did have class though it was fun. he's very easy-going and i wish i could have him again for another HP. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:beginningtennis - All I can say is that if you want to take beginning tennis you most definitely want to take Carver. He makes the class fun and easy. He is very helpful and wants everyone to do well. Take Carver - Grade In Class:A
Comments:Beggining Tennis - Jason was great. This class was boring for me since I have played tennis for a long time and everyone else was new, but it was great for all of the begginers. His test were easy and he emails you a study guide ahead of time that is all of the answers. We only had one skills test but i think he typically gives two. Our class was cancelled alot because it rained all fall and he got the swine flu and strepp throat, but obvioulsy that isn't typical. He was good at instrucuting and he made the skills test very reasonable and even let you retake it if you were unsatisified with your results. He does count antenedce as part of your grade. Take this class jason was awesome. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:Beginning Tennis - Carver is the best tennis coach hands down! I loved having him. This class is pretty much a guaranteed A. The class gets cancelled often because of rain, which is a plus. Carver is a really fun teacher, easy to talk to, and you will definitely walk out of this class with a good grasp of the game of tennis. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1181 - Jason is awesome for this class. We did share a tennis court this semester with Fairbault's class and Jason was so much more efficient in teaching the course. He is really helpful and makes sure that you know how to learn to play the game. We rarely had homework and the skills tests were not all that hard to pass. I definetely recommend Jason for this class! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1181 - Before this class I had never hit a tennis ball. By the end of it, I could hit them consistently. He's an amazing teacher and class was so easy. It didn't get canceled as much as friends had told me it would though. Definitely take Carter! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1145 - Heres the deal you show up you play tennis and then you get an A Baylor makes him give a 2 written exams good news though he gives you all the answers on a review sheet. Even better he's a great man who tries to get close to his students - Grade In Class:A
Comments:Beg Tennis - Jason is off the chain. Its like going to Disney World and riding the teacups, you never get tired of it. Jason does not kick you in the shins if you screw up like other teachers. Take his class or you'll be crying for the rest of your life that you missed out on the PArty!! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:HP 1181 - Jason was awesome. He knew that we weren't all athletes and didn't expect us to be. He didn't cancel class as much as most of the class expected, but he made each class fun and we got out early every time. The best thing about Jason is that he makes himself available to everyone, in and out of school. He's definitely a cool guy and an easy class for an HP - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1181 - Easiest class ever. Take it in the spring because it will be canceled often because of rain and other issues. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1181 - Such an easy class. Skills test... uhmm lets jst say it is hard not to get an A. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1181 - Take him for tennis if you can!! An amazing man who really has a heart for his students and will do anything for them. You actually learn how to play tennis, and the class is designed for those who can't play at all. 2 tests that are very, very easy (he emails a review sheet out that is basically a list of the test questions). Absolutely take Jason Carver! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1181 - i love this guy. He is really a great teacher and is very laid back and easyyyy to talk to. Take him, he has two tests and they are very easy. This class was probably the easiest college class i have taken thus far. Take him if you want to have fun - Grade In Class:A
Comments:Tennis - He's pretty cool - but very vague in talking to you when you ask him specific questions. He doesn't always e-mail you back, and plays favorites. A push-over for the most part. Take him, pretty easy and if you like playing doubles Tennis ALL the time - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1181 - Coach Carver was an awesome guy. He would occasionally cancel class on days when it was too cold to play tennis, but you would still learn all of the basics. Most of the people in my class were unable to hit the ball over the net on the first day, but by the end of the semester, we were actually able to play a legitimate tournament of doubles. His tests compromise of both skills and written. The skills test is decently tough, he makes sure you know your stuff, and his written tests are nothing to worry about, he will let you know what you should study the class before. He is both an easy teacher as well as a GOOD teacher. I would definitely recommend him to anyone interested in Beginning Tennis. - Grade In Class:A
