Opinion: 1300 - Ok, so with Mr.Smith get ready to write A LOT!!!! he does not allow anything typed or I Pads. He does not post power points, and even if he did, they would not be helpful because they have barely any info. He tells history almost as if it is a story which makes it interesting. However, if you miss a class....you're cooked. You can ask a friend for their notes but you will not retain the info so it is hard. He is a nice guy and will work with you though. His grading is based all off of 3 exams (one being the final) and two book quizzes. I worked really hard in this class to only make a B which was very disappointing. Honestly, would I take him again? Yes, I would, however I would make sure NOT to miss any classes. - Grade In Class:B

Opinion: 1387 - Prof Clayton is honestly such a sweet guy. He is willing to work with you, and will respond to your emails quickly most of the time. His class has weekly quizzes, however, they are pretty hard. I read every single time and only made 100s on three of them. You really have to learn have to pick out what he will be asking on quizzes. GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS!! that helped me a lot with the quizzes. His grading consists of 4 exams (one being the final) and all the weekly quizzes. Honestly, I should have done better in this class. It is not like i slacked off (because I actually studied so hard for this class) it was just hard for me to retain the info. It is smart to speak out in class, even just simple conversation, because that will make him like you. Compared to other profs I heard for political science, Clayton is definitely one of the better ones to take! - Grade In Class:B

Opinion: 1310 - SUCH AN EASY A! did i ever take notes? Nope! The lowest grade I made on one of her exams was a 96. She is literally so king and truly cares about her students. She does not try to trick you with her tests. Definitely my favorite prof I have had at Baylor so far! TAKE HER!!!!! - Grade In Class:A

Opinion: HIS 1305 - This class was SUPER easy. Very little workload and she gave us helpful exam review guides. I never studied for her class and easily got an A because of how easy she made the workload. Apparently, multiple members of my class were caught using AI to write their essays, so she did make us take class time for in person writing sessions so no one cheated, and many people had complaints about that, but out of all professors that I have had, she handled the situation much nicer than anyone else had. Overall, the work was really easy and she even brought donuts and cookies throughout the semester. I would highly recommend her for the intro HIS classes if you can. - Grade In Class:A

Opinion: HIS 2395 - Dr. Watkins is an amazing teacher with VERY high expectations for his students. He will always push you to succeed, but his course is rather difficult for a 2000 level class. It was a flipped classroom, and you actually had to put some effort into your notes in order to succeed. The final research paper at the end of the semester was one of the hardest projects I have ever done, but it was SO worth it in the end. I know that Dr. Watkins really helped set me up for the future with his class, and I'll always be so appreciative of that. One major thing about Dr. Watkins, however, is that he doesn't like the introverts. As one myself, I found it very difficult to be in class with him because I was not outgoing like his favorite students in the class. I don't think he means any harm by favoring the extroverts, but that is something to go in to the class knowing because otherwise your participation grade will get docked for that. Overall, difficult class with a professor that really cares to push you to succeed, and I would recommend Dr. Watkins over anyone else because of how much your writing and history skills will grow because of his dedication to your success. - Grade In Class:A

Opinion: CLA 2306 - Burris' lectures are great, but his attitude and workload are a little off-putting. I absolutely loved his lectures and how he lead class discussions. I really thought I hated greek myth, but his jokes and the discussions our classes had ultimately made me find something I was passionate in that I don't think I would've enjoyed with a different professor. That being said, he is very old fashioned with his teaching style. Grades were almost solely based on a midterm and the final. The reading was also very heavy because we were reading whole greek plays in the span of 2 days turnaround. He also is very uptight in the classroom and will call you out if you arrive to class tired or glance at your phone. He thinks kinda highly of himself and lowly of his students, but if you participate in class discussions, he seems to be a lot nicer. Overall, he's a great lecturer, but outside of class he's a little frustrating to put up with. - Grade In Class:B+

Opinion: ID 2320 - This woman has no respect for students. She obviously finds teaching a chore and a hassle and she doesn’t even hide the fact that she doesn’t want to be there. Building Materials and Finishes is a three hour studio class- HAH the longest she ever held class was an hour. Which sounds nice until you realize that her exams are still going to be hard and all the projects she gives come with little to no rubric or instruction and then she’ll grade them according to her own specific tastes and mark down so much for little things she deems errors. She always had some excuse for why she was letting us go early and then she also was never in her office during office hours. She would say “any questions” at the end of class and then be annoyed when we actually had a question but then would go on rambling on and on and not even answer the question. The one time she offered to critique our work we all desperately jumped at the chance and lined up outside her office. People ahead of me were saying that she literally sighed when they told her that there were a lot of people outside waiting. In general this class was just a waste of everyone’s time. - Grade In Class:A

Opinion: American Lit 2310 - What a king honestly. At the end of this semester I literally apologized to him because he really cares about all of us and set us up for success in this class only for everyone to hardly ever speak up. All the man wants is for you to say what you took from the reading so do everyone a favor and speak up! Taking him sparked my love for reading back up again and I really appreciate him for that. He is so thorough about making sure we understand the material and gives really good and detailed feedback on each major assignment. One thing though haha dude wants to be woke so bad. It’s cool though he’s trying. - Grade In Class:A

Opinion: 3305 - Farish, Farish, Farish. She’s definitely a professor of all time. A lot of the reviews on here speak for themself. She is a little overhated but there were multiple occasions where she crossed the line with how strict she can be. She’ll never directly say it but she does not like finance majors and she will make work a lot harder than it needs to be. It is possible to do well but it requires a lot of time and effort with the notes and class prep. Overall, the most challenging part of this course was her bipolar demeanor and the way she treated the students as if they were in high school. Even the kids who sucked up to her didn’t receive much grace. Take the other professor for this course if they are available but if your stuck with her know it’s not the end of the world. But whoever hurt this woman definitely did a number on her. I feel sorry for her. - Grade In Class:B+
